Alice in Borderland Season 2 hit today, proof you can make a live-action adaptation of a manga and it will be alright

The fact that this is the same crew handling Yu Yu Hakusho is why I haven’t completely written off the latter.

Only took two years for the new season.

I've only seen two of the eight episodes so far, but it's pretty good. Relatable too, being about a fellow newcomer to their desired industry of employment.

The pilot is one of the best I've seen.

The other 7 episodes... needs more Michael Mann, but it’s decent enough that I'm on board for a 2nd season.

And Zaslav better not reverse that season order because S1 has a really unsatisfying ending.

Alice in Borderland is not nearly on the same level of Squid Game but is still all over the top 10 this holiday season.  And it has good critical and user reviews.

First the Kenshin movies, now this.  It’s weird, seeing a streak of good manga adaptations after the Bebop fiasco.

I remember the Bebop fiasco happening between seasons of Borderland, but yes, it is very noteworthy indeed.

So, turns out Viz licensed the vastly superior manga. 4 volumes out and nobody told me.

So there's finally a translation that's [probably] good.
