Netflix to release Tekken: Bloodline, an anime adaptation of Tekken 3

This is exactly what I was talking about.  Toonami gets endless FLCL sequels, Netflix gets a full on Tekken anime.

Fun fact, the announcement coincided with Tekken 3 turning 24 years old.  Yes, Tekken 3 is in its mid-twenties.  Feel old yet?

 

I still remember when Tekken 3 arcade cabinets were all over rest stops.

Real talk though, the CG work in that trailer is just godawful. It's like they're trying to overlay 2D animation on it but it just looks awkward as shit.

No lie, I’m hoping that this will be Harada’s time to tell us what happened to Jun. They’ve been dangling the carrot over us that Jun is still out there for decades, but only keep blueballing us with hints or spin-off appearances.

New trailer, with more of Heihachi being evil Mas Oyama (most full contact karate masters in fiction take their cues from Oyama, the late founder of Kyokushin Karate) and 2D/3D mixing reminiscent of Godzilla Singular Point.

It’s out and it’s 6 episodes long, at least what’s out so far.

Now that Netflix has a deal with Tekken, maybe they can get Cobra Kai characters in the next game.  Johnny Lawrence in Tekken?
