We just finished episode 154 and the anime ends at 170.  So we've got a good number of episodes left still.  And I'm sure the anime will come back when more manga content has been made that can be adapted.  Maybe it will do like Fairy Tail did, or turn into a seasonal anime.

black clover is awkward in the sense that You'd have to stop at some awkward points in seasonal format

Yeah, I can't see it staying stopped once there's enough material again.

I think I read some think the movie might handle adapting the rest of the arc once it's finished.

Yeah the Black Clover arcs are pretty long.  With My Hero Academia and its shorter arcs it worked pretty well, even if the seasons would often end in a cool down transitional period instead of the climax and and a few aftermath episodes.

ending in the middle of the elf resurrection arc would have been stupid...just imagine that

The anime is definitely coming back in some form or fashion.

Really?  Probably won't be able to cover all of the remainder with a movie.  Maybe the finale of it.

Yeah lol.

most people realize "hey maybe the anime being off is good news for the manga as You'd have to read it to get more content as there's no telling when the anime might resume"

although some people aren't even aware the manga exists...In Japan the anime is usually an ad for the manga  but in america not so much

No people say that because then the anime won't get riddled with filler and it preserves the integrity of the anime.  Of course you can always go read the manga any time.

It is an ad for manga, but also fans want to see their favorite scenes animated.  Me personally I prefer anime over manga in general.  But sometimes I have no choice if I really like a series and the anime doesn't finish the rest of the adaptation, like with Rave Master and Kekkaishi, and Bleach (until the recent announcement for the anime's return.)

Yeah but when the  the next season isn't really anytime soon(as seems to be the case with fire force since David Productions will be too busy with other things like Jojo Part 6)

You have no choice....
