so, I notice the Goblin Slayer manga

all the releases of the Goblin Slayer manga in the US are shrink-wrapped in stores (i work in a bookstore), but i'm not sure why. 

I've gotten about halfway through the anime and though it begins with some explicit material, that sort of content hasn't continued. manga is usually only shrink-wrapped in stores if it contains nudity (i get that goblin slayer is pretty damn violent, but americans don't fear violence like they fear sexual material) am i missing something? is the manga -- which i've not read -- more frequently sexual explicit than the anime is?

yes, well, i was under the impression that this happens in the first volume and doesn't get shown again. is that wrong? i get why volume one is wrapped. but all of them?

Pretty sure the goblin rape is a recurring thing throughout the anime but I haven't read any of it lately.

I think it’s just a series-wide mandate. Like if the first volume of Goblin Slayer is shrink wrapped, the rest of the Goblin Slayer volumes have to be shrink wrapped too.

It's to prevent people from reading it since the only people who would read Goblin Slayer are lacking the mental fortitude to remove shrink wrap.
