Taco Bell is dead to me

my beloved taco bell has forsaken me.

seven layer burrito... dead.

potato products... gone.

steak... nope.

shredded chicken gone in november.

it seems i will now never attain the necessary 666 packets of diablo sauce needed to summon el diablo.

so, where should i go for lunches?

must be cheap.

must be edible.

must be close to work.

feel free to write in other options but i may ignore if they don't fit the criteria.

for example, there's a chick-fil-a near me, but that's kinda pricy. there's also a mcdonalds, but fuck that reconstituted dog shit. i'm not eating that.

even someone who used to eat at taco bell has to have some kind of standards.

i can't really digest the substance they're currently referring to as "ground beef" so, for me, nachos are out.

there is a chipotle, but that's a bit pricey.

and no, no subway near me.

You had Subway on your list.  I haven't had Jack In The Box since they left Illinois in the '70s, so either them or Bojangles would be my next choice.

oh. i meant to delete that. there used to be one in a strip mall down the street, but i checked online and they've closed.

Ah, I don't think I've ever had gas station food that was good.

Given the choices I know in the Op I'd say Hardee's, Wendy's, or make your own lunches.

There isn't a Bojangles in my area, but I have a feeling that'd be the best option aside from Wendys.

I usually get nachos from Taco Bell once a year for old times sake, but as much as I enjoy it, I feel like absolute shit afterwards. And then there's the inner dread I get everytime I eat their ground beef. I really need to order online so I can replace that dreck with beans or something/
