Dark_Cloud_Overhead
Not sure what led up to it, but all I remember was the last part where I step into a room and there's couple people sitting in some chairs with their backs to me looking out a window. I ask them who they are, and they respond as they turn around by saying "don't worry, it's just me." It's a young boy and girl with their faces slightly disfigured. I don't recognize them at all. They turn back around, then say "and me" turning around again, with their faces looking even more messed up than before. This repeats over and over until the little boy who's the only one for some reason I'm fixated on at this point looks like some type of alien-like dino bird thing. I wake up then and hear the phone. I answer it, and it's silent for a while before I can faintly hear in a low rasping voice someone say "inside the house". Then I wake up for real and think to myself, "okay, that was strange." The most disturbing part of all this though is that I wasn't at all disturbed by it, which makes me think I've lived too long now.
Poof
can you describe the alien-like dino bird thing? did it have a beak? feathers? scales? what made it alien-like?
Distinct Lunatic
Back when I was 7 I had this one dream where I was in my real dad's house, it being a pretty big house, a former duplex so it had effectively double everything. I was upstairs in one of the rooms, minding my own when something came from the shadows. I quickly went downstairs and both my mom's parents were sitting in the living room, things being silent and uneasy, them not moving at all and talking for quietly in a way that wasn't them. Then I was playing my game boy for awhile, looking to trade some Pokémon when the same thing from upstairs came in, I then ran down a hallway which was a dead end, me being cornered and watching as it was slowly walking my way. Can't describe what it looked like, but I had to gtfo like asap, I remember trying to move my arms but couldn't, I then tried moving my legs and was finally able to, me kicking the bottom of the top bunk in my room, me walking up. For a number of years after that I was able to move my arms and legs while I was asleep, me learning how to do that after that one dream. One time I woke up sitting on the side of my bed with feet on the floor, and once in a chair away from my bed. Stopped being able to do that after 5th grade. He/it didn't have any feathers, but the nose area of his face stuck out and was kind of elongated like a beak, and the face took on a slight greenish tint. Earlier on when it turned it had various scar like or rotting areas around the eyes or mouth. It wasn't until that final time right before I fake woke up that it didn't even look human anymore. I had a similar less vivid experience a long time ago, where I felt like something from the dark was grabbing me and holding me down where I couldn't move. I kept struggling, trying to move my arms and legs for several seconds before I stared kicking my blanket off my legs, before I realized I was dreaming. One of my arms was numb when I woke up because I had turned and put it in a position where I cut the blood flow off to it I think, so I believe that particular dream was actually was my body's way of warning me and trying to wake me up back then. Sometimes there are logical reasons to this stuff. Most of the time doesn't seem like it though.

One thing for me is I'm usually a lucid dreamer to some degree, I dream most nights, I only remember a fraction of the dreams but I always know I had one, and whenever I am in one I usually know it's a dream. It's only a once in a long while thing where it's enough of a lucid dream to the point where I can do whatever I want. I also got really good at noping out of bad dreams since that time as a kid. Typically when something bad starts happening I nope out and wake up immediately. The one I mentioned above is one I always remember, and is more fresh on my mind since it got the remaster treatment sometime this last week. Dark_Cloud_Overhead
I almost never really remember any of my dreams though. I haven't watched any spooky movies or anything like that lately that I could see giving rise to one like this either, which is how come it just seems so strange to me that I would suddenly have one like this. It felt kind of unreal, but I don't think I was really at all aware it was a dream till it was totally over, but despite that I wasn't scared at all by what was happening for some reason. The more I think about it, the more I'm wondering if that could be because the children represented like different pieces of myself maybe somehow. That there were two of them and they were looking out a window or windows makes me think they could be like a pair of eyes.
