My boss's boss (the regional manager) was bragging up how great my announcements were to all the other regionals and the CEO. 

My boss comes back and tells me this while I'm assembling Christmas trees.

Apparently they want to record it.

"The higher ups are talking about you." she says.

So I says "Well, you know me, I've been tryin' to land that cushy corporate advertising gig since I joined on."
