Cau
I see all these stories about how these people have cats they don't own showing up in their houses and all I can think is "Why not me?"

We heard a noise outside our front door where we were living in '73. My Dad opens the door & in walks this beat up tabby tom we'd never seen before, he's dragging a back leg. He walks into the living room, right up to our huge black Lab & curls up right under his chin. The dog looks completely confused. The vet said, "his leg's a mess, I'll put him down". My dad told him no. The vet said, "Even if I could figure out a way to get his leg right, it would be around $2 grand". Dad said, "Do it". That cat would disappear for months & show up all beat up again. Then he disappeared and never returned. We figured either 'coon got him, or some other soft touch took him in. (We'd named him "Slim" as "You don't mess around with Slim")
