I had burgers tonight too. But not venison. So, I hate you, a little.

Another reason is, it's getting close to being warm enough for me to go fishing. Can't wait to hit that bay...

It has been cold here for a couple of days, which is odd. I wouldn't mind doing a little fishing this year myself.

I'd love to catch some flounder. Let me stop. I'm drooling thinking about it.

I'd like to catch a gator this year too, and have some gator tail Po'boy's.

You might have liked a long defunct (2007) place I used to go to in Chicago - Grizzly's Lodge.  Every booth had its own tv, great place for watching whatever Sunday football game you wanted.

"Appetizers include blackened alligator and shrimp poppers. Entrees include salads, sandwiches (tater tots on the side), steaks, and wild game. Game entrees include quail primavera, elk steak, venison goulash, wild boar chops, and buffalo burgers that would make Fred Flintstone salivate. Word has it that they will be adding zebra to the menu soon. The menu explains what each variety of game tastes like. The menu points out that most of the game to be had at Grizzly's is much leaner than pork, beef, and even chicken. It makes one begin to wonder... There is also an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Fridays, and brunch on Sundays"

There are usually places at "Taste of Chicago" serving some sort of wild game meat.  Possibly even at a couple of the neighborhood fests.

There's a place in West Chester, PA that does this but I heard it's completely outrageous in price.

sounds good! we did not bag any this year so none for us. =(

My folks have hunted the same little patch of woods for 12 years and every yer between them they end up with 4-8 deer. Even a 10-point and a couple 8-points.

This is very indirectly related, but I had a bison burger recently.

I almost jerked off in the middle of the restaurant because it was so good.

Anyway, send me some deer jerky. Just stuff it in an envelope with a few ice cubes and mail it.
