It can run some low end PS3 era stuff like Oblivion at max settings but anything heavier than that it doesn't run any better than an actual PS3 could. The CPU is an AMD A10-7400P/BGA. Somewhere around a 3 Ghz I believe (it's booting right now so I can't confirm). Quad core processor. 1
Sandstone Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Do you have anti-virus software on your computer? I recommend running a full scan. Do you have a solid state or HDD in your computer? Long load times could be the result of Hard Disk Errors or a completely full drive. Never fill an HDD to the brim it can cause a ton of system instability. Try a disk defragmentation as well (only for HDD never for SSD). 1

It has 2 drives but the only one I ever had to use was never close to full and since the reinstall there's barely anything on it. I even took the computer apart and made sure everything was connected properly. I've been troubleshooting for days. It started with an infinite repair loop and when I got that figured out the long boot ups started after booting normally for a day or two.

Disabling that was the only way I could get it to boot at all at first without booting from a thumb drive with windows on it. I used that to reinstall windows and it booted fine for a day or two. Even did a system restore to when it booted fine after the reinstall and even that didn't solve the problem.
Sandstone Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Did you make sure it was disabled after reinstall? If you ran a linux dual boot at any point with fast start enabled it can cause memory corruption.

Quad core processor. quad core in a laptop sounds pretty sexy honestly, I always run scans with what I have... windows defender in win 10 is honestly good, I was told not to run any other anti-virus software on this build by the only Dj/ electronics repair guy I trusted here.. but malwarebytes is a good one if you ask me.. I havent needed 3rd party AVS on this system, but I've played with all the viruses out there as well.. Sandstone gave you a solid suggestion.. Also run through your task manager, and at least google processes that are running blatantly that seem sketchy..

PhilosipherStoned Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 If you don't have things over tasking your processor.. or filled up ram.. or a bad drive... beats the hell out of me. Those are usually the things to look at though. Don't trust free defragmenting drive software.. or any of that jizz.

I seriously doubt it's the hard drives at this point. Neither one has ever been close to full and they seem to be installed properly.

PhilosipherStoned Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Your Processor is cool for a laptop.. It acts as the GPU as well, and is only the equivalent of an intel I3 according to this.. I put an I5 intel quadcore in the pc I'm using now when I built it..How long have you had the laptop.. I would run a perfmon report, and exhaust all the diagnostic scans I could take advantage of, but with those specs you should be seeing WAY better boot times.

Mine is Radeon as well, and honestly not anything to brag about, but like I've always stated it's been good even when critiqued by other pc Gamers.. Radeon something.. RX.. wtf.. DirectDiagnostic X couldn't compute it or something.. strange.. If I do get heavily involved in PC gaming, and find an issue with this GPU I can literally just uncrew the few screws in my case by hand, and switch it out with a better one easy as F..
