Are you a drinking writer or writing drinker?

I'm a drinking writer. I actually detest the idea of writing drunk because nothing gets done. But if I have a good day writing, you bet your ass I'm drinking.

I'm a writer who quit drinking.

 

And began doing drugs, instead.

Depends, haven't done any creative writing, but I can drink a little and write. lol

I'll drink a vodka or honey bourbon cocktail when I'm super stressed or in a lot of pain, but I usually write sober.

I used to drink and write, most of that stuff was pretty dark.

I gave up the booze for the most part, and what I write now is much more positive.

Take that for what it is worth, but these days I do very little writing of the creative variety. I write opinion editorial pieces more than anything else, and those tend to make me want to drink....
