so how many are in a pack?

its said there are only 6 packs in north america.

how many live together?

how many kills does an average hunter get per year, and how many hunters?

i am just learning about fox hunting and the encyclodedia isnt doing much for a specific rate on birth rate/population/death..  i am wondering if its

a huge sport or a small class of hunters.

i was wondering if other problems might arise like endangered species status or illegal fur trading, on a species like american red fox.

at an online auction, i saw a picture of the furs stacked and bundled in about 50 hides, but ive never seen more than that as far as fur trading as an industry.

i dont know if trapping is more popular than hunting.  honestly, i would never hunt a fox unless i was starving. there are squirrels, doves, and pigeons for that.

i am more of an environmentalist, but who better to ask than the hunters?

a couple other questions come up.

For the first questions, foxes aren't pack animals.

Numbers will vary, but they tend to live with mates/offspring

Couldn't tell you number of average kills, or hunters. Even if I could: what region of the world?

sorry to confuse...  from what i read, i think what they call a pack, are any blood related members, totalling only 6 packs in north america.

there must be thousands per pack, but i wonder just how many thousands.

i want to understand the pictures i saw.  are bundles of 50 fox hides rare?

Sounds more excessive than rare. Cleaned or uncleaned?

tanned hides, ready for sale

Sounds just like somebody with a decent stock,
and fox hide sells better in certain places, with certain demographics, than others.

I don't think fox hunting is as widespread as it once was, and I don't think anyone actually does the fox hunting sport where the rich people ride the horses that chase after the dogs that scare the foxes out of hiding.

oh.

trapping seems that obscure to me too.

american hunters have dogs tho and i think fox hunting on horses is only tradition.

people that horde hides arent hunting in an average way.
