Currently my Mustang is sitting in the driveway uninsured and unregistered because I have the front end and interior apart as I work on it. No point in paying for classic car insurance if I am not driving it.

Nobody is threatening to come take it from me. by law, they can't. If I were to drive it then yes, they would have it towed and I'd have to either have someone else tow it back to my house after I paid storage fees, or insure it and show them proof of insurance before I could drive it away.

The government literally can not keep YOUR car if YOU own it AKA have the title in YOUR name, if it's not insured... unless it is proven that it was bought with illegal monies.

yah you own it as you sit in jail and pay bail for driving it

Again. My car is sitting in the driveway with no insurance. The police can not come to my house (private property by the way) which is not under any HOA's, and try to take my car. They cannot arrest me for not having insurance on my car. It is currently a project, the only way I run it is to move it to a different spot in the driveway or to keep the fluids circulated. it's been there since May.

Do you realize how stupid you and Packard sound? Ya gonna start wearing foil hats next?

we arent talking abt fixing it. so you gonna fix it forever and never ever drive it? and you know god damn well you still have to pay taxes and register it or it cant be on the road. the govt even inspects your "property" and can prevent you from ever driving it again if they see fit. thats not true ownership.

No you moron. When I am ready to, I will make it legal for the road again. Registered and insured as a classic, so I don't have to have "the government come and inspect it" (even though that Mustang was never legally inspected since 2009 anyway). Did you know that in a lot of states, they don't have mandatory vehicle inspection? Did you know that there are still states who do not require car insurance? Also, I have never paid taxes on any of my cars, even most of the ones I have bought! There's a little loophole called "gifting". I own it, it is mine, nobody from the government can take it from me as it sits in my driveway.

You know what, you seem to think you are the expert here, so make sure to keep tin foil handy. You can stress yourself out by thinking you are owned by the government. I'm gonna have my fun. I don't even  know why I wasted my time xD Fucking explained it twice and shit.

So, until.you insure it, you have a $40k paperweight.

somebody big mad

we just trying to tell you its not 100% yours with money paid to others who dont own it or take care of it. but keep being ignorant and living in a dream world while finding loopholes just to drive a rust bucket to 7 eleven

Not mad, just annoyed that you think you're right when you clearly are not. Your logic is all discombobulated. It is 100% mine. The camper I own: 100% mine. the ATV I own? Golf cart? 1980 Blazer "that still exists"? 100% mine.

Oh, isn't it a law to have health insurance? Guess you don't own you.

Also, LOOK AT ALL OF THAT RUST ON A CAR THAT HAS BEEN TO YOUR STATE! WOW!

I didn't know Barrett-Jackson had that much of an influence on Foxbodies! Maybe I should sell it. xD

Or I could register it to an address in VA or NH and not have car insurance, but I like knowing that if something happens to it, it'll get fixed without me having to pay for all of it.
