Because an edit won't bump the thread, I'll BUMP for this news now:

The marathon stream DIO would have a choice word for is now streaming JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Season 1, Episodes 6-10.

Not sure why they decided to go back that far in the series, but if you ask me, this is when the series was at its best. Enjoy the British accents, Hellsing-like score, and "Roundabout!"

Yeah, that would be perfectly characteristic of the stream. They've already confused Season 1 of Gundam: IBO with Unicorn on the delayed block before.

And yet people think there should be a full-fledged Toonami streaming service, even one you can pay for! Aside from that being 100% against the Toonami brand and what it's about, how can you expect them to do a good job of it when there are constant mistakes on the existing weekly stream?

Well, we really don't know if this was a "mistake" or not. And it MIGHT still be "corrected" in mid-week. Chance of that happening for IBO 18 to go back to Unicorn 18, which was programmed to stream over the weekend, was virtually nil.

Given the fact that rather than streaming IBO 21-25 leading into the new season, they streamed Unicorn 1-5, and never "corrected" that, I'm guessing they probably won't.

I wish someone was running the Toonami stream during the week who actually gave a shit about it. But because of the sheer volume of shows on the Saturday on-air broadcast, watching the weekend stream can be pretty worthwhile now.

So it's apparently One-Punch Man today; #1 to #5. It's a good way to whet your appetite for Season 2. Of course, for all we know, this was actually a mistake and they were supposed to play the first five episodes of Black Clover instead... or rather, ordered.

Well folks, you've got less than 8 hours left to stream the first 5 episodes of this amazing series before the One-Punch Man marathon turns to a much longer Bebop marathon!

And, oh yeah, new Pre-Flight.

BTW, Zeniru's "Golden Turd Tower" was totally a reference to...

Well folks, it seems like after almost a 2.5-year run of weekday marathons on the Toonami streaming channel which debuted in 2015, the party may finally be over, as at this time the streaming channel is just playing last Friday's pre-flight episode ad-nauseum, just as it did for the first 6 months or so after it debuted before the weekday marathons were added with Attack on Titan Season 1 on 8/25/15.

It looks like if you want to rewatch Toonami shows, you'll have to rely on On-Demand for now, where they still have quite an extensive library, but of course it pales in comparison to anything you'll find on a subscription service like Netflix, Hulu, or VRV. I'll keep y'all posted as to the fate of this stream throughout the week, but for now, know that you're not missing anything. Later!

What the hell? You know, they actually gave a big update to the [adult swim] app recently, and it's actually usable now. They added a dozen different marathon streams of [as] comedy shows plus the ability to use that Twitch-style chat on your phone, and they still have a tab for Toonami that shows the same stream as the website. Maybe this is just an incredibly bad coincidence, because I have no idea why they would stop airing marathons right after the update.

Maybe now that it’s on Roku and other TV streaming apps they could be gearing up for something new

I posted this on Reddit but this is what I want to see:

I was hoping a few years ago that they would run a daily block of like 4 shows they have the rights to that aren’t currently airing on the block. They would post a schedule for the week.Everyday they could change the episodes and simulate what an on air daily Toonami block would be like. They could rotate something else in when one thing ends. If they wanted to they could run earlier episodes of something they currently have to like HxH, Jojo, IBO or Super. This thing with the marathons was good when they would run the whole series in a week, but now they barely ever go beyond the same 5 episodes in a week. I wish they’d get more creative with it

As of about 4 PM this afternoon, Black Clover episodes (Pages) 1-5 were streaming!

So you can catch up on all the screaming all this week!

I also just noticed that Pages 1 & 2 have next-episode previews that were unaired on TV, but none of the others do.

I don't get why they don't just show all the next-episode previews online since there's no need to cut them for time like they are on TV, but I guess that would make too much sense...

Looks like it's Dragon Ball Super this week, and back in the 6th Universe Arc.

I'll let y'all know what episodes exactly it is later.

Edit: it appears it's actually 37-41, or the last 5 episodes of the arc. An interesting selection for the stream, but it DOES get whole "Hit" saga!

Really now?? Black Clover AGAIN!?!

They're really trying to shove this series down our throats! And it's just Pages 1-5 again.

I get that the first time it was supposed to play got screwed on Monday, but why spam it AGAIN just 2 weeks later?!

But I did just notice that in Pages 4 & 5, Sekke gets whacked in the nuts pretty good!

Here's something interesting: despite Clover streaming the  closed caption subtitles are for Lupin the 3rd. Thats probably what they were supposed to stream this week.

Turns out that wasn't a fluke, because as of Tuesday afternoon, the stream has actually fully switched to some late episodes of Lupin the 3rd!

It appears to be Episodes 17-21, but the stream may advance to 22-26 tomorrow night? I doubt it, but if there's any week it would be nice to see that come back, it's this week.

At least it's likely that 22-26 may show at some point in the future if not.

It seems Episode 17 also has some bugs. Most of the video plays about 5 seconds slower than the audio, so that the whole thing is out of sync.

According to Facebook, the Toonami stream is getting an update. They’ll mix in the current episode of Preflight with the marathon, I thought they did that already? Monday they’ll be streaming Outlaw Star! Maybe they’ll either be going beyond 5 episodes or they’ll switch the show out more often. We’ll see...

Well, the stream is playing Outlaw Star as advertised, and they're currently on #15. I don't know exactly which episodes are airing or if it's different in any way.

On a different note, Dimension W's streaming rights recently expired after two years and yet no one seemed to notice. I thought the big man who made this thread would chime in and say they should give it one more streaming rotation.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Space Dandy wasn't streaming either for awhile, until it came back this year.

So I'm not really sure that means Toonami lost the rights. But tomorrow would be its 2-year anniversary of airing on Toonami, which means, yeah, it's probably gone.

Also, Outlaw Star is streaming Episodes 11-15 right now. No word on if the "revamped" weekday stream will advance on Wednesday night to 16-20, but since 20 is coming up on this weekend's block, and Black Clover Page 5 streamed first on weekdays, it's certainly possible!

Believe it or not, Outlaw Star is actually back on the stream this week, but airing Episodes 16 through 20... which is an educated guess, since they're showing #18 right now. But yeah, it looks like we're going to be able to watch more of one show, albeit over a longer period of time.

So that show doesn't advance? Yeesh, it sounds kind of rough.

With how the progression is going, Outlaw Star #21 through #25 should be on the stream Monday, although it would be awkward for them to be not able to air the final episode, and even moreso considering that the delayed weekend repeat no longer exists.

I wonder if that will actually happen. I thought it was quite bizarre that we got the same show in a row twice.

Well, this is just so mind-boggling I don't have any words for it. I just witnessed the stream finish out Episode #37 of Gundam IBO, then cut to Pre-Flight. And earlier tonight, I saw the eyecatch of Episode #37 but no other information to determine that there was any other episode...

...JUST. THAT. EPISODE!!!

What the hell is going on!? Either Toonami Stream is in an odd transition phase that will soon be resolved otherwise, or we're in a major downgrade here!

Edit: turns out it's not just #37, but #36 as well. Even so, without the payoff in #38, kinda like not getting the climax!

Edit #2: All weekend through today as I type this, the stream has been playing Pre-Flight, Gundam IBO Episode #36, then #37, then #36 again, then #37 again, then Pre-Flight. If you ask me, if they want to play Pre-Flight more, they should instead look at the randomly repeating the same episodes thing. If 5 is the desired length, then air Pre-Flight, then 5 episodes, then Pre-Flight again. I don't know if what happened this weekend was a glitch or not but it would be nice if someone competent were running this thing!

It would appear that they're expanding the number of episodes that  are run on weekdays from 5 to 6, as I believe 6 episodes of DBZ Kai played this week:

11/18/17

12/2/17 "What Anger Gives Rise To Another Majin!"

12/9/17 "Buu Gobbles Up Buu! Onslaught Of A New Majin!"

12/16/17 "Headlong Rush Into Catastrophe! A One-Hour Time Limit!"

1/6/18 "Training Complete! You're Finished Now, Majin Buu!"

1/13/18 "Elminating Buu With Ghosts: A Knockout Kamikaze Attack!"

Did anyone else notice that's what they did? It would seem to make perfect sense to me if so, with FLCL 2 and FLCL 3 coming up, each 6 episodes.

EDIT: Well, I wasn't expecting this! Looks like the DBZ Kai stream is gonna continue through the weekend. I guess I'll be able to determine if it's 5 episodes or 6 at some point after all!

Wow, bumping this thread because it seems I was wrong. It turns out these are NOT the same episodes of DBZ KFC that aired all week; they're actually the NEXT set of episodes, and yes, it does appear that there are SIX of them in each rotation instead of 5 like there used to be!

I'm actually OK with this change. I felt like 5 worked for shows like Samurai Jack and not much else. MAAYBE Gundam IBO, since each season had 25 episodes. But since the new flagship show is FLCL, and it has 6 episodes in each season. Plus for a lot of shows, such as Tokyo Ghoul and JoJo Part 3, 6+6=12, and that's once again a FULL COUR!! Having an extra episode of the featured show play and bringing back the advance with a new Pre-Flight on Friday Night isn't a bad trade-off for the demise of the weekend block stream of the block from 4 years ago.

So to sum up, right now we've got the DBZ Kai Final Chapters episodes from:

1/20/18: #146 "Gotenks' Ace in the Hole! Transformation! Super Saiyan 3!"

1/27/18: #147 "On A Roll! Buu-Buu-Volleyball!"

2/3/18: #148 "Thanks for Waiting, Everyone! A Reborn Gohan Heads for Earth!"

2/10/18: #149 "Buu Overwhelmed! Ultimate Gohan's Super Power!"

2/17/18: #150 "Buu's Sinister Scheme: Gotenks Is Absorbed"

2/24/18: #151 "The Elder Kai's Brainstorm! Return to Life, Goku"

Just when I thought Toonami had coughed up the rights to Samurai Champloo, it shows up out of nowhere for only its 2nd weekday streaming run ever!

But what's even more interesting is what this implies. If [as] and Toonami's deal to air it is for multiple years and multiple runs after all, it could be replacing Cowboy Bebop, and that really wouldn't be a terrible choice. It did damn good for a rerun in the ratings with its first Toonami run in 2016, and might do decent at the butt-end of the block in 2018!

The Way of the Samurai continues right through the weekend! Starting tonight and going until Monday night at 7, it's episodes #6-#10 of Samurai Champloo!

Episode #6 ends the Edo chapter with an epic eating contest, and then the show meanders through several entertaining one-offs in the beginning of Part 2: the Nagasaki chapter, including some very "high" times in Episode #9!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any weirder, at some point over the last 24 hours, the stream abruptly switched to Hunter x Hunter.

It's sometime during the Chimera Ant arc, but I haven't the slightest idea when, yet, as I'm half-rewatching Gundam IBO starting with Episode #43 right now instead.

[deal with it]

EDIT: It's the first 5 episodes of the Chimera Ant arc! If I had to guess, I'd say they'll advance to the next 5 tonight after a new Pre-Flight at 8 PM!

Another Monday night, another outage for the Toonami Marathon stream.

Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out what will play on the stream this week.

Edit: it's TUESDAY morning, and the Toonami stream FINALLY appears to have returned with Pre-Flight. They're discussing Char's Counterattack this week, so maybe the show for the rest of the week will be Gundam IBO episodes #41-#45? Since #45 aired on St. Patty's Day, it's probably freely streamable right now, but man, is #41 a HELL of an episode to start even a weekly marathon with...

Was it actually competent before?

I just guess I'm happy they're playing more of each show.

It wasn't having an outage at 7 PM every Monday night that might not have been corrected until the next morning. That's at least slightly more competent than what we had before!

But at least it seems it's done now, and One-Punch Man continues to stream, making it officially the longest-streaming show on the Marathon stream yet. All previous shows have lasted for a week or less (in the September 2015-February 2018 era, 4 days). But it looks like OPM will be the marathonning show for 8 days or more!

It's Attack on Titan this week--but it's not season 2; it's all the way back to the beginning for Season 1!

Kinda strange, but since they aired the first episode 4 years ago this week, they may be losing the rights.

Even if so, doubt we'll see more than the first 5 episodes, or 10 episodes tops if we get a Friday night advance this week.

Friday night advance confirmed, but since the app has been down this weekend, the only way to watch the stream of AoT episodes 6-10 is on the [as] website!

And knowing what we now know about Reiner and Bertholdt, it sure is interesting to see what their role was during the Trost arc!

Tomorrow is Goku day (since "go" in Japanese means 5, and "ku" means 9), as well as King Piccolo day from the original Dragonball, so it only makes sense that Dragon Ball Super is streaming this week on the marathon stream. I believe it's some episodes in the fake Vegeta arc, but since the app is apparently still down, the only way you'll see them is by using the [as] website.

Seriously? From my limited experience with the app, they made it better than ever. But now it's prone to not working at all for long stretches of time? That's just rubbish.
