I think 'Kona Blend' is my favorite Java Monster flavor

Best Monster is the Roja Tea. It's not called that anymore, but it's the monster with like... almost no sugar in it without the fake sugar taste.

Ok yea I think they have under 10g of sugar too.

The only thing I don't like about monster is how they lowered their caffeine content.

Like most regular ones only have 120mg instead of 160.

The teas might be a little higher or lower... I forget.

But that's why I like the Java ones so much 188mg of caffeine per can.

I run off of about 250mg of caffeine every other day I think.

Sometimes 500 in a day on a weekend though.

But yea I avoid sugar like the plague. I love those teas they have. The peach is good too.

The only other energy drinks I get besides Monster ones are the orange Rockstar 'Recovery' blend, I think.

All the other ones are kinda garbage.

And Red Bull is way too damn expensive.

Real kona coffee is expensive as shit. It's grown on Hawaiian volcanic soil. That Monster drink probably has no kona in it.

Well, it says 'Kona Blend'.

So it's probably like a flake of Kona and the rest is some sort of creamer.

Thanks for answering my question.

What makes Kona so special, anyway?

Despite the fact that it's grown in volcanic topsoil.

Ah, so it said Kona blend. Coffee falls into two categories: single origin or blend. Blend means it comes from two different places. Single origin Kona is very expensive. Since it is a blend, Monster can get away with it only being one part per hundred Kona. I doubt it's that high, but I also doubt it's a fifty-fifty blend. I personally never had Kona, but the only reason it is special is that it's grown on Hawaiian volcanic soil.

I know all this because I'm a Starbucks barista. :|
