Philip K Dick wrote the character to be human and Ford played him as if he was human. Scott can direct it how he wants, i go with the creator/actor intentions on it

Not necessarily. If Rachel can conceive, its very possible other older replicants exist with the ability to procreate (and as we see in the film Deckard's definitely not the only replicant able to age. On top of that, part of Wallace's mission was to create his own breed of replicants capable of procreation to make even more replicants. Deckard, Rachel, and a handful of others could have been the Nexus 6 prototype of that idea.
