Toonami 1st Half 2017: A Litany of Questionable Programming Decisions

Recommended Posts

What about hentai?  Because my freshman year of college someone got caught watching that in one of my classes.

LOL.  I'd imagine combining the two would probably make it exponentially worse than either one on its own?  Probably?  Or would it being porn cancel out the anime part of it?  "Oh he's just watching porn that happens to be animated.  He's not one of those weirdos who gets something else out of it besides fap material!" :D :D :D

I gotta hear more about this though. :D

Not much to tell lol.  The girl (yes, girl) was a couple seats down from me.  We we're in the front of the room.  She opened her laptop to take notes, and, well... it was futa.  She ended up transferring after that semester.

Still, it could have been worse.  It wasn't Boku no Pico, so there's that.

One last odd-ball programming decision to close out the first half year, though it's NOT actually on the block, but on the streaming channel, which less than 200 people watch, so it might not hurt that bad...

Attack on Titan Season 2 is playing right now, in advance of the marathon! Yep, you read that right. It's probably just gonna be #26-#30 all week, but that might be enough to take critical eyeballs off 11 PM-1 AM 7/1/17. It would have been smarter for [as] to play the conclusion of Season 1 leading up to this, but then again I guess they aren't in the business of making sense...

Watching the marathon stream to get the Titan fix at a reasonable time is what I'd do.

True, I get that. But that doesn't seem to be the behavior of 99% of Toonami watchers. Even taking account their views are probably scattered throughout the week, those first 5 episodes will appear on the stream some 20-30 times each, so theoretically, assuming an average of 200, that means about 6000 will watch the stream, which is not even 1% as high as Toonami's flagging ratings. Also, 11 PM is a pretty reasonable time, although it's a war of attrition to stay up to the end even in the Central time zone where Toonami is 10 PM-2:30 AM.
