    I'm back! We drove to San Antonio to celebrate my birthday belatedly. Is that a word? Went to Texas Transportation Museum that I am a member of, then went to this great Mexican restaurant called La Fonda Alamo Heights. The costume and theme restaurant Magic Time Machine was over-booked! I had mini street tacos, 2 with beef fajita meat and 2 with chicken fajita meat, tortilla soup, a beer, and a pina colada! And the wait staff put a sombrero in me and did their own version of the birthday song, lol.

    No, I don't know why he decided to make himself a hologram. Must be trying a new thing I guess. Anyway. So, if these rumors are true, and seemed to be confirmed by some of the content coming out, this is what the next Star Wars stuff is going to be about. The new books and comics, a videogame, and probably the next set of movies three years from now, which the rest of the stuff will build up to. The High Republic Era, set 400 years before the Skywalker Saga, when the Jedi were expanding and exploring throughout the Galaxy. It is an era completely untouched by previous Star Wars content, even the old Legends/Expanded Universe. And maybe this is the best way to go. We have seen that the only current Star Wars that seems to be near universally liked, Rogue One and The Mandalorian, don't feature any of the original main characters in big roles and are pretty much their own thing. Even though we will still get complaints no matter what, there will probably much less with this, just as with Rogue One and Mando. We won't (and haven't with Rogue One or Mando) hear so-and-so wouldn't do this, or so-and-so wouldn't do that, this isn't how that would have gone based on what happened before, blah blah blah. Because it will be all new characters and events and places. And since the Sith are supposed to be in hiding and thought extinct at this point in the timeline, it won't be the same old Jedi vs. Sith stuff again. And the creators will have more creative freedom to do whatever they want without having to worry about contradicting some random little thing written in a book years ago, or causing plotholes. It will also just be completely new stuff. Not filling in things about stuff we already know about or re-telling stuff from Legends or different versions of what happened in Legends, various mid-quels, etc, and have nothing to do with the Skywalkers! There is more to the Star Wars Galaxy than just one family. I will be glad to see Star Wars move on to new ground.

    I thought the JJ/extended cut was a myth. Before that people were carrying on that supposedly George Lucas secretly directed his own version. They got this from... George visiting the set? Yeah, that sounds plausible. But that looks like pictures of the art book, so not necessarily something that even got filmed and put into the movie to get cut.

Basically just stirring up shit and riling up his fan base (and he wasn't the only one) to profit off the whole situation, but those Youtubers made things worse and more toxic with what they were doing. I think it might be safe for us to just disregard anything you say going forward and write you off completely if you are using this guy as a source or messenger for anything, or being a fan of his. Not watching the video because I know how much of an idiot he is and don't want to give him the view or pollute my recommended, but if he goes into what I think he does, because these anti-SJWs are predictable simpletons, this decision would have absolutely nothing to do with the EBUL ESS-JAY-DUBBAYUUZ, which isn't even a thing in Japan, but, well, what you got into with your later post. And if it's because "to hear the other side," no, we really didn't, need to hear more idiocy from these idiots. We can probably guess what they will complain about without even looking up any of their posts or videos, because as I said, they are predictable simpletons. They are not worth the time of day. They are on the level of flat earthers as far as who should be considered worth being listened to and engaged with. And what proof do you have of the author's reputation taking a major hit? And for what, making the name change or using that name in the first place?

    Is that really true they never reran a single SAO episode once besides for that glitch? God damn, they reran and marathonned damn near everything else. Using one or two time slots at the end for reruns I don't mind, but not at the expense of premieres. And well, they don't really have a "library" like ASA used to have to have more reruns after all the premieres later in the night. But ASA didn't have nearly as many or frequent premieres, either. I guess it is a trade-off. Oh well.

    The resident Chicken Little of the boards telling me to calm down is funny. And it's a 4-part mini-series. If they are just 30 minute episodes, that's not much of a show. And I hope not too much budget is going to it that, that could be put toward licensing new shows. Not sure how that all works or if the budgets are separate or not, or how much money they get, or how much any of that stuff costs. But, yeah.

    Yes, that is a big part of it. That, and just the fact of losing a premiere slot period. Do you really think Fire Force's return is a guarantee? Seems like it has a mixed reception. What sort of ratings did it get? I swear it seems like Aniplex dubbed faster than that. SAO II was on the block before it even finished in Japan. Alicization and War of Underworld were pretty quick too. If it hadn't been for War of Underworld's second cour delay, it would be airing dubbed here while still finishing in Japan, too. LOL Boruto is not coming back. Demarco's line "I'm sure it will be back at some point." LOL. You know how much of a bullshitter Demarco is. It was the most non-committal thing he could have said without pissing off Boruto fans. Yeah, Food Wars, good job clogging up the block with that, Demarco. I always thought 24-26 episode shows or seasons were more common than 13 episode shows or seasons. Also seems like a lot of shows or seasons aren't even 26 episodes anymore, but 22 or 24. Feels like a ripoff. If they don't get Mob 2 that is just another bungle.
