Pretty much. The show did have potential though. I remember hearing the anime crammed way too many chapters into the episodes, but I think that story wouldn't have been great regardless of pacing.

I think Kubo did it to make sure it was ensured to gain a following, by linking it to Bleach. I haven't read the one shot yet, but everything I've seen from the trailer and pictures, if no one told me, I would think it was a totally different universe. Maybe the connections will just be very loose and it can still be its own thing. The way a lot of fans were so hard and down on Bleach, especially as it went on, if anything, people will be more forgiving of this series since they will have lowered expectations, or give it a better chance because it's new and fresh, and despite supposedly being in the same universe, doesn't seem to have much to do with the original story. I think it would be judged much more harshly if it was a straight up sequel, a la Boruto. Hmm, I'm not seeing how that page is a tribute to Bleach?

Lol well if he isn't Tite "Tittie" Kubo then I guess "tight" can accurately describe the other body parts Kubo draws. It will still be difficult for me to change that in my head though! Yeah, the only long-runners I know of that still exist are Black Clover and One Piece. One Piece was grandfathered in and is like a dinosaur at this point, and I guess Toei is too greedy to let One Piece take breaks. I hope that Black Clover takes a break once it catches up to its manga. But I'm not really sure what's going on with that series. I think I remember hearing that it is way behind its manga and in no danger of catching up any time soon. I figured Kubo would be rushed regardless of where the anime is, but you could be right. Yeah since the first part is being done as a movie and the studio is mostly known for movies and OVAs, the rest will probably be done as OVAs or seasons at least. And I wonder if the movie will be edited into episodes later. What I had always heard was the first arc was cut down or rushed in the manga because of the Yu Yu Hakusho comparisons. I didn't know the anime rushed that part even more. I always thought another issue though was Kubo used large drawings and panels, and was sparse on dialogue, so each chapter wouldn't cover much run time in a manga as opposed to other mangas.

No, Burn the Witch takes place in London and features the Western Branch. Bleach featured the Eastern Branch. I don't know if each branch takes care of the entire Eastern and Western Hemispheres and the 2 series just happen to focus on England and Japan, or if there are other branches in other parts of the world. I don't know how you got that there's an American Branch spin-off happening from the video or what I said.

I haven't noticed that happening yet. I saw that this picture didn't work on my phone after it worked on the PC. But maybe it will stop working on the original device eventually too. We should try asking the site runners about this, though I dont know if they'd have the answer either.

I suppose it works for who posted it, but not for anyone else. I also noticed when I looked on a different device that it wasn't working. I posted it on my computer, but when I looked on my phone, it was broken. I guess we are going to have to do a process of elimination of all the sites that don't allow hotlinking. The funny thing is, if I had just linked from the Reddit post with the imgur link where I first found it, instead of going to the artist's pxiv page that someone linked in the comments, it would have worked.
