    But the problem is you can't have everything be related to fire or heat and have it do everything. It doesn't make sense. Naruto's chakra and Bleach's spiritual energy are a lot more versatile. They should have at least said it was holy healing flames or something, or given a better explanation than what was given.

Between this and Koro-sensei saying he is an Earthling born and raised, and that short scene at a lab, this is more evidence that he used to be human and was turned into this through some sort of crazy experiment. So he probably isn't an alien, then. Which makes even less sense why he would want to blow up the Earth.
