"Krona," it sounds like the name of the Soul Eater character Crona.

It has been said multiple times in the show if not more often than "Krone." I don't know if the dub director screwed up or what lol. Good to know I wasn't just going crazy lol.

The kids have to make their own dinner? What do you even do, Isabella?! Man Don is too rash and reckless. They're right to withhold info from him lol.

Oh I just saw that Sara has bat wings haha. Nice. I want to look up to see if the weirdness Emma and Norman have going on with their hair means anything, but I don't want to get spoilers. Emma has a stalk of hair sticking up on the top of her head and another on the back, and Norman has a weird horn shaped cowlick on the corner of his head. Their hair is distinct for sure lol.

She looked worse in the manga. I'm gonna watch the YouTube video that thumbnail is from later. Isabella looked pretty weird in the manga too. Maybe the way the both of them are drawn has to do with the horror aspect. All in all I think I prefer the anime designs for everyone. A pretty interesting article I found on this a while back. I liked that the author complimented Kubo. She is right that Tosen and Yoruichi look normal. https://www.jacksonpbrown.com/anime-and-manga/2018/8/2/thoughts-on-the-promised-neverland-and-black-women-in-manga Also I see now that there is apparently a Japanese live action Promised Neverland movie, and they cast a Japanese actress as Krone, and that stirred up everything all over again. https://comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/the-promised-neverland-movie-controversy-live-action-cast-sister-krone/ Though I'm not sure what they expected. Even if Japan was more progressive, there probably aren't many black actors there for them to pick from.

Saw this edit later. If it's going that long I hope I can stay up for all of it. I've been going to sleep and waking up at normal(ish) times (for me anyway) lately. I'm DISGUSTED with myself.

Yeah one would hope the co-productions with Crunchyroll can still go through. Those contracts still have to be honored, right, or do they go up in smoke when the company is bought out? I'm not sure how this stuff works. If Sony owns both Funimation and Crunchyroll, then yeah, their streaming services would be redundant, right? They wouldn't keep running both of them separately, would they? But why would they get rid of the Funimation one instead of the Crunchyroll one? Toonami already has a good relationship with Funimation and Aniplex, who are both owned by Sony, so there is that. Here is Demarco's Twitter post and thread on this. I'll have to dig through it more later.

So fucking creepy. And so heartbreaking. Interesting how there are seemingly rich demons, and only they get to eat these kids.

I never watch Adult Swim during the week anymore. I'm sure there are plenty of others who only tune in for Toonami, so they'd have no idea this marathon was playing tonight.

Japanese Hentai Is Now Banned in Australia
ben0119 replied to MasqueradeOverture's topic in Anime & Manga
Well as we all know, the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth is the EVIL side. -
Oh I see. Well that is unfortunate. Well there is less risk of copyright strikes from a game. Those types of mobile games with predatory monetization shouldn't be supported, and really phones are not ideal for gaming anyway. At least in my opinion. Whoo my phone is still nice and fresh lol. Samsung Galaxy S10+ Great for videos, pics, and other things. ANYWAY. I'm sure you haven't forgotten how Hollows work, but there is no "Hollow invasion" that I am aware of, there will always be Hollows because any soul can be at risk of turning into a Hollow, particularly the ones with regrets from their past life. Taken from the Bleach wiki and seems to jive with what I remember of how Hollows work - https://bleach.fandom.com/wiki/Hollow Hollows are a race of creatures which are born from Human souls who, for various reasons, do not cross over to Soul Society after their death and stay in the Human World for too long. They are corrupt spirits with supernatural powers which devour the souls of both living and deceased Humans. Hollows settle in Hueco Mundo, but can cross over to the Human World and Soul Society. Hollows are the opposite of Humans. Hollow are former Pluses (deceased Human souls) who lose their hearts to despair or regret, or they remain in the Human World for too long. Any spirit who is not guided to Soul Society by a Shinigami via KonsÅ may eventually turn into a Hollow. Now does any of that sound like something that would be peculiar to Japan? No. People live everywhere on the earth and die everywhere on the Earth, so there has to be Hollows and therefor Soul Reapers patrolling the entire Earth. We know that Sasakibe was stationed in England at one point, which is why he dresses and acts the way he does, he took an appreciation of the English society or something. So that right there is proof (not that it should be needed), that there ought to be Hollows and Soul Reapers in London. But again, Wing Bind, which is part of Soul Society, doesn't seem to employ any Soul Reapers, and the Witches and Wizards don't seem too concerned with Hollows. I highly doubt that. They look and behave nothing like Hollows. They seem to just be a kind of supernatural creature. And the Wizards and Witches don't hunt them, except for those seven super bad ones which HAVE to be killed because of how dangerous they are. The other ones are conserved and managed. It is the equivalent of relocating a crocodile or lion. The Witches and Wizards are conservationists. Soul Reapers just take out Hollows on the spot. So yeah no way they are Hollows or some form of Hollows. Again there is no way these things are Hollows or even related to them. I think the same thing. The Bleach connection feels very thrown in. The two worlds don't mesh at all. Yeah that could be it. Another reason I heard people give was he threw the Bleach connection in because he was afraid it wouldn't be successful enough as its own thing, which I don't agree with, that that is the reason Kubo did it, or that the series needs a Bleach connection to succeed. But like you said I'm not sure Kubo even planned or anticipated for the series to get picked up and go beyond the one shot, which I tend to agree with. So yeah I think either way I'm not sure it was meant to be connected and the sign thing was thrown in just as a tribute. "Dragon Clad" sounds like some sort of badass character with dragon powers, but Balgo is just a blundering oaf. Unless he is secretly a badass too, like their boss, but I doubt that. Or maybe we will find out that Balgo is just a failure of a Dragon Clad. Then again that horn he had turned into a sword for a little while? Maybe that will lead to something?
