  1. Funny enough, there haven't been any mass shootings since covid started. Those guys have no problem being shot by themselves or cops or being thrown in prison, but apparently don't want to get sick in the process haha.
  2. I can't tell if you are joking or being serious! But if you are serious, you have Japan beat lmao. There are computer operating systems as girls (OS-tans,) game consoles as girls (Hyperdimension Neptunia,) naval warships as girls (Kantai Collection and Azur Lane,) among surely others. Making inanimate objects into anime girls is certainly odd, but national parks aren't exactly a singular object, vehicle, or even building, but an area with many locations and places within them! What podcast? I miss the old one, by the way. But, to both of y'all - Yeah, I ripped off the Applebee's commercial. And I guess what you lead you back here was Assassination Classroom, haha.
  3. I didn't realize it was 47 episodes instead of 26 or so. It will hold the fort down in its slot for a good while, then. And covered the whole manga, huh? I guess it is a shorter series. But that's good. Always good to have a complete adaption. How dare you call Black Clover and MHA Naruto clones! Especially when they are much better than it in many ways! Yeah that is a good shuffling of the schedule. I couldn't stand Ballmastrz but yeah it's odd they didn't just do the last week of episodes. Yeah we desperately needed something sooner but at least we got it now. T__T
  4. Oh hey they actually did what I and others suggested and got a show that's already dubbed from the past few years. From what I have seen, heard, and read, though, Assassination Classroom seems... disturbing. Also the yellow tentacle guy looks creepy as fuck. Though, DangerMouse assured me that it's good, especially if one can buy into its tonal shifts due to the large amount of comedy. I didn't really look into it deeply, so maybe I have the wrong idea about it. I'll watch it and see how it turns out.
  5. So wait the Joker killed himself? To me it seemed like his neck was broken and he should be dead. And he looked dead. Then he started trolling again and then his neck snapped again on its own. What the hell happened there? Did Batman imagine or hallucinate those last words, or finish what the Joker would have said in his head after he was already dead, and that's why the Joker's head returned to the snapped position? Or was he actually alive after that? But what made his neck twist again on its own? Did he use his own laughing gas on himself and that did it somehow? But yeah, you have a good point there.
  6. I think what Demarco means when he says a show doesn't fit is that they don't have somewhere to put it in the lineup. He has said that tons of times for tons of shows. That was one of the excuses he gave for never airing Fairy Tail, when it was pretty obvious he never had any intentions of airing it. I gave up any hope of that happening when he said he had never seen it. We also know the excuse is bullshit in general, given they will just add a time slot if they really want to put a new show on and Demarco himself confirmed new shows being added aren't dependent on other shows ending. Just did a quick search. Heh, this guy thinking Black Clover would only run its originally allotted 52 episodes. =3 It eventually became too late of course, and now Fairy Tail is over and much of the animation in the last season was practically nonexistent and the worst I've ever seen. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/2000118-anime-and-manga-toonami/76507230?page=4 This also came up in the search, which reminds me, what the hell did those three picks ever end up being? "Super psyched, "confuse people," and "right in the pocket." This is another thing Demarco does that I hate. These cryptic hype ups. Many times they will get forgotten about, or won't pan out, like those 2 shows he said they had coming at a convention and then later the deals on them fell through. If you don't have something to announce then don't announce anything! Why they haven't aired isekai besides SAO - https://ask.fm/Clarknova/answers/158623612137 They "haven't had good opportunity to air another one." Though from what I hear of these other isekai shows most of them don't seem appealing to me at all. Why they didn't air Yuri on Ice, which some folks would have liked to air. Remember, it's fair game since Demarco's declaration that they could air NON-ACTION anime. It didn't pan out. I'm sure a lot of shows "didn't pan out." But I'm sure not all of them got the Nobel peace prize winning negotiatior treatment that Gundam got, either. As we all know, Demarco is well-versed in bullshitting and has these "reasons" and many others ready to go for why shows haven't aired or won't air. He is also trying to say whatever he thinks won't piss people off or will piss them off the least, and thinks everyone will fall for his shit. One of the most notorious and hilarious examples was Boruto, where when it got taken off he said they were just making room for other shows and that "I'm sure it will be back at at some point." Sounded pretty non-committal. Then later on he says "there are no plans to bring Boruto back at this time." He was never gonna bring it back lmfao.
  7. From what I recall, the SAO disclaimer was on Hulu, that's where I watched it subbed. Apparently it was on Crunchyroll too. I don't remember one for Toonami. And Demarco never promised it wouldn't be edited, so not sure where you are getting that from. People were actually concerned about the episode and sent tweets and messages to ask.fm to him about it and he said he was aware of the scene and they would do some edits. https://ask.fm/Clarknova/threads/153514229225 What do you know, Sketch was the one who sent one of the messages I was thinking of! Although Demarco did seem to get confused between the GGO spin-off series, and the actual GGO arc in the main series that was being referred to. I didn't think the scene with Shino and Shinkawa was meant to be an attempted rape scene though. I also found this article, where Demarco talks about the scene after the fact, and the article goes more in-depth on SAO and its issues in general. https://toonamifaithful.com/why-sword-art-online-was-allowed-to-return-to-toonami-and-why-reki-kawahara-promises-no-more-damsels-and-assault-scenes-going-forward/ I don't remember anyone asking Demarco to apologize to the dub voice actors, and not sure why they would. However, Reki himself did apologize to the Japanese voice actors. He also said he wouldn't do any more rape scenes after the backlash the scene got. Reki had also mentioned how the anime seemed to heighten the scene and make it more graphic and intense and gratuitous. Reki's comments in this article - https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2018-12-11/reki-kawahara-apologizes-to-voice-actors-for-latest-sword-art-online-episode/.140635 On that SAO panel the director for Alicization said he was trying to follow in the footsteps of the director of the first 2 seasons but also set himself apart in ways. I can think of no real differences between the seasons except for these - The awkward, jarring fan service seems to have been eliminated. No more framing shots around girls asses etc. And when that Integrity Knight girl Sheyta had her armor and clothes damaged/removed, and the pugilist guy said she looks like a warrior now (how the pugilists look,) it was tastefully done. A good improvement. Buuut it seems he tries to make the rape scenes as graphic and over-the-top and gratuitous as possible! I don't like censorship either but Toonami had to do something to get the episode to air. But I would also prefer that Reki didn't use rape as a cheap way to get cheap heel heat for his villains. I mean it's not like Reki has any grand ideas when he includes these scenes, like he is going to examine and portray the trauma rape victims go through. It's done as a cheap way to make people hate villains, motivation for the hero, and a plot point to move the story forward. In this case to justify Kirito and Eugeo killing one of those guys and maiming the other, so they get thrown in the jail of that tower. When you could easily have them do the same thing in defense of the girls and/or themselves without rape being involved. There are any number of ways a violent fight could have been instigated with those two assholes without using rape, that get Kirito and Eugeo into the jail.
  8. No, I am talking about the parts of the manga the anime covered. They cut out a lot of weird fan service apparently. But given that, and given what you just said about the last arc, oof, and possibly even less credence that we can just blame this all on the editor of Fire Force. Like I said, unless Okubo had this same pervy editor back then on Soul Eater.
  9. That makes enough sense I suppose. I thought maybe Bones was just trying to make a less awkward viewing experience for the audience. Eh, ASA didn't get it because they were too dumb to, not because of the fan service.
  10. I thought maybe it was set to go off in the event of Bruce's death, like a trigger connected to his heart, and he did temporarily "die." Either that or Alfred blew it up. Yeah for sure since his identity was revealed at the end of the fight with Superman when he "died." Yeah for sure the mansion and cave would get raided. Still, the sentimental value, even if not the resources. I imagined he siphoned the money elsewhere, yeah. I wonder if Alfred was in on the plan or if he actually thought Bruce died. If not, that's kind of fucked up since the stress from thinking Bruce died is what lead to his death. Yes abrupt and no apparent funeral for him or Bruce honoring him or showing appreciation.
  11. You talking about this? https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/05/weather/post-tropical-cyclone-isaias-wxc/index.html How was I totally oblivious to this? I think I remember reading about some storms forming but didn't realize one had actually hit New Jersey. How long was the power out for? Hey, we don't know how it's going to go! Wait til we see the actual show. We already know it won't be the same since no one was separated from each other or had amnesia in the original series. The first series also had romance. I don't see that happening here unless there is some incestuous lesbian stuff going on which I don't see happening lmao. Plus, with as little involvement as the original characters are seeming to going to have and with the setup we were given, this feels more like a spin-off than a straight up sequel. At any rate, it looks a hell of a lot better than Boruto!
  12. I think Mochi was talking about what was going on in the actual world back then haha.
  13. I guess so. But Superman has super hearing and x-ray vision.
  14. Could have picked better trainees though.
  15. So Batman used that pill to fake his death somehow? Not sure how that worked since Superman literally saw and heard his heart stop.
  16. Something with his heart? Why is the mansion exploding? All the money is gone? Not donated to charity? Alfred died of a stroke... Wow, he really is dead. Eh, these losers are going to the new Batman? Batmen? What a weird ending! Not sure what to make of it lmao.
  17. Well Batman is using tons of gadgets and devices and has armor. Kryptonite will often come into play. Ah, there's the kryptonite lol.
  18. It is an established ability, albeit a slightly silly one, that Superman can get the sun energy from plants. But go ahead and keep going on your rant and capitalizing the first letter in every word of your sentences for no reason.
  19. I think it's a stretch on both your parts lmao.
  20. I thought EMPs fry the electrical grid. How is power coming back on from Batman using thst device?
  21. Weapons everywhere, damn. So much for the tank. LOL Robin with a slingshot.
  22. Green Lantern! What was that pill he took?
