    Yeah this is all new to me as well. It's just annoying because that was the most annoying part of his character and now it is even more extreme. I'm also not sure how Eren and co. are going to save themselves and everyone on the island, because even if they defeat Marley, the whole rest of the world still hates Eldians.

    Ok, so this how I have come to take this. This has to be the AI copy of Kayaba trying to make up for the real one's sins, right? The real Kayaba committed suicide, so this isn't him, literally. Because of the intent is for Kayaba himself to be redeemed that is BULLSHIT.

    So yeah, after that scene of Gabriel being dragged to Hell by Alicia's ghost, added along with the previous scene of Gabriel killing Alicia and SWALLOWING HER SOUL, made me believe the show is not hard sci-fi and has fantasy and supernatural elements. And the ghosts of Yuuki, Eugeo, and others that appeared were literal ghosts, and not virtual or AI, or ghost in the machine like Ghost in the Shell.
