    Honestly this feels like an asspull retcon. That this random villain was actually a Nomu all along, and the Nomus are zombie monster creature things, and this one happens to be their friend who died who we never heard about before now.

    I guess the Nomus are more like a monster from Resident Evil. Derived from a once normal person but altered and "undead" to an extent. I don't know. This is confusing.
