    Hmm, between Yuki Kajiura's involvement, the way the ED sounded (was it who I think it was?,) art style, high production values, swashbuckling action, and those rapey creeps, this show seems like a cousin to SAO. I'd love to know who wrote this.

    Also putting a promo for Star Trek: Lower Decks during Adult Swim was a smart move. Probably a good amount of crossover viewership there. And it looks like CBS All Access is no more and it's just Paramount + now? First season was a lot fun. I'll check out the first new episode tomorrow.

    I thought it was separate departments for each TV station. Demarco still defended the person who screwed up though, which he shouldn't have done. I'm kind of surprised it's not automated, honestly. Still, that means there is an even bigger issue at Adult Swim and Toonami if they can have these multiple fuck-ups over the years and it's not even the same people doing it. They must have crappy management and system overall.

    Yeah that is definitely odd. Those shows never aired back to back or anything did they? Like going from Cartoon Network to Adult Swim? Yeah Toonami can get some less popular shows but they still need bigger shows too. I'm honestly amazed Toonami are still able to get some of the shows they have been getting. I guess it must be the relationships Demarco and co. have built up over time with these various companies. Even then, after all this time Toonami aired JoJo and highlighted it, the JoJo people still took the money and ran. I guess it is a good thing that Funimation is considered somewhat of a competitor to Netflix, and Toonami is chummy with Funimation, or Toonami would be really screwed. By the way, whatever happened with the Sony and Crunchyroll deal? I can find no update since late March when it said regulators were looking into whether this deal could pass muster. https://variety.com/2021/biz/asia/sony-deal-for-anime-crunchyroll-uncertainty-1234937897/ Yep Warner Bros. and DC probably won't be too happy about this. It looks very sloppy on Toonami's part.

    I remember another time this happened with another show, someone tweeted that someone is losing their job. And Demarco said "no they aren't. Mistakes happen." Well, if that person who screwed up with that other show is the same person who screwed this up, it shows Demarco doesn't run a clean ship. Even if it was a different employee, mistakes like this shouldn't keep happening. You'd think they would double check this stuff. And it's not like this is some little local station, they're part of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate and still fucking up like this.

    Yeah I probably don't need to add to it. I'm sure Demarco will hear of it. I don't know. I have been watching TV for decades and Adult Swim/Toonami are the only ones I can think of that keep fucking up airing the wrong episode of things, or cutting things off, or having glitches. It has happened several times over the years. The only case with another network I can think of was when CW aired this stupid horse show in place of a Supergirl episode. And I'm not even sure if that was nation wide. It may have just been my affiliate. Overly optimistic but even being realistic. If Toonami has a limited budget but Netflix doesn't, yeah there is nothing they can do about it, unfortunately. Yes this was supposed to be a cross promotion which Toonami fucked up in their end. THEY DUN GOOFED!
