  1. Oh, look, it's another terrible father. But he's no BONDREWD! Really, Demarco should've thought more about what episode of MHA he decided to start with. We've already been traumatized enough lmao.
  2. I had no idea this series was even based on a manga. I thought Made in Abyss was anime original. At least then, having the movie be part of the canon story would make more sense. But, they did the same thing as Demon Slayer, except they didn't re-cut the movie into the beginning of the second season. And of course, Demarco got the second season, even though he couldn't get the movie. Guys, this is not like watching DBZ before Dragon Ball...
  3. Why the fuck would you watch it again?
  4. Well, I just finished watching the movie. Is there any villain worse than Bondrewd? What a sick bastard. I would have thought he'd at least spare Prushka, since she was like his daughter. I don't know he's being allowed to do whatever he wants, either. The other White Whistles should have reigned him in. But I guess there's not really any law and order in the Abyss! And to top it all off, he didn't even completely die! That last body he was in looked almost human. Sure, his facility is wrecked and he can't proceed any further, but still, just kill that fucker! And I never would have guessed that is where the physical white whistles come from! Fucking hell!
  5. So, Made in Abyss season 2 picks up right where the movie leaves off, and doesn't re-cut it into episodes like Demon Slayer did? I have enough time now that I could watch it before the block starts, but I didn't get much sleep last night. I'd rather be less tired when I take the movie in, and I'm sure a whole movie will be more mentally and emotionally draining than an episode of Made in Abyss. I'll be lucky if I don't pass out during the block tonight. I don't understand why you would make a movie out of canon content, or at least, not optional canon content. And then not re-cut it into the series. It's not sounding like you can just skip the movie and know what's going on in season 2, either. It is pretty stupid of Demaco to tell people to go watch a movie he couldn't get to catch up on a season he got. What is to stop people from just watching the second season dub after they watch the movie instead of watching it on Toonami?

It is pretty stupid of Demaco to tell people to go watch a movie he couldn't get to catch up on a season he got. What is to stop people from just watching the second season dub after they watch the movie instead of watching it on Toonami? So those are just MHA reruns. I wasn't sure how many seasons there were or how many Toonami aired. Lame. Starting the block with reruns is moronic. Hopefully that is just a placeholder for something. Maybe Bleach, or new MHA episodes. The schedule I saw on the Toonami Faithful Twitter showed two One Piece episodes, so I don't know what to think. Edit - Never mind. The way that was written made it look like like two episode titles, but it's actually just one. If it is one episode tonight, I really hope it goes back to two episodes next week. Oh, I remembered there's still another season of Food Wars left. Fuck! I'm glad that wasn't one of the new shows. 🤣
  7. So, it looks like we won't be getting new Bleach the day after the Hulu premiere after all. But hopefully Toonami still gets Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War at some point. I went ahead and just watched the dub of the first episode for now. I'd like to hold off on watching too much more of it, if there is a chance Toonami will pick it up. All the returning voice actors did a good job. You can hardly tell it's been 10 years. Especially for Stephanie Sheh, it's amazing she can still do the Orihime voice spot on. It totally did not occur to me that Chad would be recast. Jamieson Price said he decided to step down from the role so a person of color could voice Chad. I also totally forgot that Jamieson Price isn't the original VA, and replaced Marc Worden at episode 86. I honestly don't recall a change in how Chad sounded back then. The ANN thread on this is a total dumpster fire. I saw someone in there saying that every time an instance like this has come up, the white voice actor has stepped down from the legacy role. I don't know if that's true or not. I hope Yoruichi doesn't get recast. Huh. I had no idea that Tosen's VA changed part way through the series. Either way, neither one of them were black. But, I don't think voice actors need to match the ethnicity of their characters. The whole point is a voice actor doesn't need to look anything like their character, they just need to do a good job at the role. Of course, the industry could do to be more inclusive than it has been in the past. Ideally, this could be done with new characters and not legacy characters. I mean, nobody likes recastings. Japanese voice actors aren't changed unless they're extremely ill at the time of pruduction, or die, or do something truly heinous. Anyway, I thought Alain Mesa did a good job as Chad. The voice is nearly identical, except same maybe slightly gravelly. Vic did not return as Ikkaku, thank god, so I think we can finally put the last nail in that coffin. Vic is not coming back, Vic stans, get over it and move on. I actually had some idiot on Twitter tell me Vic was going to return as Ikkaku a few years ago. A good example of why I rarely use Twitter. Hopefully Elon makes it better. I do not think Todd Haberkorn was the most suitable replacement, however. We needed someone who could sound gruffer and tougher. It was already miraculous enough that Vic of all people could do that voice. For the new characters so far -
  8. Ep 4 - Yeah, just because that guy looked like Aizen, didn't mean he was a badass lmao. Hmm I think there was a scared shirtless reaction by Ryunosuke and Shino to Kajumaru being killed that may have been cut here. Looks like the usual tricks won't work on these guys. Everything is getting countered and blocked. Man, you guys knew the enemy could do something with with the Bankai, but went and did it anyway. Now you got your Bankai stolen! That was a pretty creative combo by Renji and Byakuya though. For some reason, Ichigo's Bankai can't be stolen. And I wonder if Quilge is weaker than the other Stern Ritters, or Ichigo is that much stronger than the other Soul Reapers. Something I never really thought about before. Man, Kyoraku, I can't believe you let that guy get the drop on you like that. Bambietta - The Soul Society must be understaffed if they have a doggie as a captain. 🤣 Quilge's jail power. I didn't remember that Ichigo got trapped while he was inside the garganta. Is that the first time we've seen one of those butterflies in like... hundreds of episodes?
  9. Not only that, what is the point of merging to get the rights to all these properties if you're just going to write them all off? It makes no sense.
  10. Wasn't there already a big exposure of Rooster Teeth as a shitty place to work a few years ago?
  11. I saw the news of the Bleach dub premiere on Hulu. I hope this makes a good possibility for it to show on Toonami still. I hadn't thought of how it would line up with when shows need to be replaced. That is an interesting wrinkle. If there is a good chance of the dub airing on Toonami, I will probably hold off on watching that version, at least, so I can see it for the first time on Toonami.
  12. Ep 3 - Why does it feel like the anime is moving along a lot faster than the manga, even with very little cut content, and even some added content? This is pretty good pacing. Uryu snooping around for clues. Was that in the manga? Ayon is made from our left arms. Of course, haha. Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho is gold instead of blue now. Apparently that was always the color in the manga? I never knew that. I didn't remember everyone in the vicinity losing reishi to Quilge. Totally forgot he became monstrous because he absorbed Ayon's reishi. Quilge just un-snapped his own neck! 😧 That 6th seat guy looks like Aizen's brother. Mayuri had all those Rukon residents killed, supposedly to restore the balance to the worlds by all the Hollows being destroyed by the Wandenreich. That bastard. But, Yamamoto failed to kill Bach 1000 years ago! Looks like the name and/or spelling for the Quincy super form has been changed. I couldn't even begin to write that haha. Don't get attached to those squad members who just got introduced lmao. Damn, we've already got someone down! Kira! Stern Ritters are in those pillars of reishi!
  13. Minato expecting Obito and Rin to be helpless lmao. Yeah that's not why he picked you, Obito...
  14. Obito you MORON. The White Fang was Kakashi's dad!
  15. It is? https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/naruto-shippuden/formation-team-minato Oh fuck, you're right! No wonder this flashback happened now! Still, I wouldn't have been surprised if Kishimoto put a flashback here lol.
  16. Obito putting his old people contacts to use. 🤣
  17. Not hardly. And who would be heartbroken if Sakura died?
  18. What the heck does kick the can entail anyway?
  19. Madara said it was Obito's original eye's ability.
  20. Another flashback? 😑 What else is there to see of this guy??
