Glorious! I dunno' about pre-ordering, but I'll definitely try to buy it at some point if I can. I've got two or three more big purchases to save my money for before I can just go buying stuff like blu-rays left and right. >_<

Wasn't needed plot-wise or anything else-wise. FLCL was perfect as is. So can't really see the need for the sequel. Demarco claims they are going to treat it with respect because they love it... we'll see. They really didn't play FLCL to death. Bebop and other shows, yes, but not that one, really. It was played infrequently enough and was like an event, which was fitting given the quality and shortness of the series.

Damn, gotta rewatch the last 2 weeks... was too tired to watch live, and I'm preoccupied with this week! Saw all these episodes tons of times, but still!

And yes I realize I made the declaration months ago, but no, I haven't had the time to get current with One Piece, because I've got a fuckton of backlogs to attend to, not to mention a clusterfuck of personal shit happened. So, until if and when I'll have the time to do that, the Toonami airing will have to suffice for my One Piece fix.

Well, I would hope all the intermittent cock-teasing with characters like Ace and Shanks was leading somewhere. Just glad it won't take hundreds more episodes to get to that point and that things will apparently be semi-related and tie together somehow. I mean, I wouldn't put it past Oda to have every little dripfed subplot lead to completely separate arcs that take us eons to get to.

Ah, so they're a whole musical pirate crew. "Bring a smile to every child's face." Sounds like they are some kind of Robin Hood good guy pirates like the Straw Hats. Trying to remember if Shanks' crew were meant to be something similar or just adventurers that happened not to be assholes like many other pirates.

Because animals killing each other to survive is clearly the same as people killing each other for the lulz or sport or as part of some sort of game. And why was Gon living in the wild when that island was clearly populated, developed, and civilized? It's not like Goku where he lived in the middle of nowhere. He had no choice and it was the only life he knew. Gon lives on this island with a town and decides to be a wild boy, because... because. It possibly doesn't, but the author can't seem to decide what sort of ethical standards it operates by, since the it conflicts with itself and is inconsistent and nonsensical. ZOH MY GAH LOOK AT ALL THIS KILLING IN A GAME FOR SPORT TO GAIN A LICENSE THAT GIVES YOU FREE PERKS TO DO EVERYTHING AND A LICENSE TO KILL! NOBODY CARES WHEN ANYBODY DIES! OH LOOK A JAIL BECAUSE THAT'S NORMAL AND RIGHT I GUESS I SHOULD PUT THIS IN RIGHT?! It's like Togashi doesn't understand human psychology or how the world works, so he randomly grasps at whatever he thinks is appropriate, but also wants to have this wacky crazy world, so it's all over the map. Too bad this world is incredibly boring and uninteresting for all the shit he's thrown at the wall. More like everyone in this show lives a boring, mundane life. If the characters' lives we're following are supposed to be "interesting" and "exciting"... then good lord. Lol... yes, because Daos not liking the show and stating his views is "trolling."
