Not sure what the world map is like, but there other countries besides the 5 great nations, like the one Nagato and his 2 friends were from that got ravaged by the last war. By extension, other characters that don't look Asian probably aren't. Everyone just has Japanese names because of the theming of the world. I mean, nobody would claim that Tosen or Yoruichi from Bleach were Japanese.

I swear it seems like the Silvas are like a cartoonish parody of the Kuchiki family from Bleach. They're so over-the-top with the whole nobles and commoners thing. That one episode Captain Nozel Silva was saying how they would get around Captain Boneless Ham's invisibility ability which also made him invulnerable to magic for some reason by attacking him with parts of the building they just left, and when questioned, saying its his duty to protect the kingdom and that commoners would rebuild it. And as we've seen, especially last episode, they're even bigger assholes to Noelle than Byakuya was to Rukia! The Captain with the -face who acts like Byakuya has ridiculous hair which the other characters make fun of, especially Yami. Then the other brother, Solid, who acts more like an out and out trolling douche, and not really like Byakuya, has hair that is similar to Byakuya's - If that's not the most face-punchable face I've ever seen... The sister, Nebra Silva, I didn't realize was a woman at first. Not sure if that's because the Silva men are too bishonen pretty (like Byakuya) or she just looks too manly lmao. But, she's a trolling douche too. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem there will be any excuse to "justify" their behavior. Byakuya was trying to follow THE RULES and was being protective of Rukia or some such shit. Which didn't really justify it, just explained Byakuya's misguided thinking. Noelle's family are just assholes!
