  1. Shut up Frieza! Your filler scene isn't even supposed to be here!
  2. That guy sounds like a whacked out supervillain LMAO. WHAT A BUNCH OF INGRATES! Ok, I know that Hercule took credit for beating Cell, and nobody knew about Raditz or Frieza, but what about King Piccolo? Why does only that dog president and the world martial arts tournament announcer remember Goku saving the world from him? And who do they think beat Nappa and Vegeta? Vegeta is doing a terrible job of talking to Earth though. Why didn't they have Goku do it?
  3. Fat Buu seems weaker here than when he was a bad guy...
  4. I don't remember Porunga making the "ok" gesture haha. I bet a lot of really nasty criminals just got removed from the earth. Vegeta isn't a "really bad guy," huh? Cool. So fitting that it ends with the Spirit Bomb, and have the general populace help in their own defense, as Vegeta said. Not the best way to ask for help though, Vegeta!
  5. They used the animation for when someone is disintigrated by an energy blast, but of course Goku Black wasn't really dead. Grrr lol.
  6. "I like you but I don't like you that much!" LOL. Land the time machine in a discreet location and put it back in the capsule! You should have realized Zamasu was bad news a long time ago, Gowasu. Even if Zamasu's body is completely gone he should still come back because he's immortal. Bulma as resourceful as ever. Good thinking! Superglue the jar back together lmao. YES GOKU HE IS IMMORTAL FOR THE 50 THOUSANDTH TIME! Vegeta with the good lines. He was epic as ever this episode.
  7. So Trunks can just pop into that form whenever he wants? I thought it was heat of the moment the first time. And how powerful IS he?
  8. NO NOT THE VACATION HOUSE!
  9. Well that might have worked if you hadn't missed.
  10. Yeah this will go real well. You know fighters aren't bullet-proof like fucking Superman, right, Mai? They dodge or grab the bullets!
  11. Don't sleep in pants, Trunks. It's bad for the boys.
  12. If you were so confident of your argument against Jman you wouldn't have felt the need to insult him.
  13. It doesn't work because you like you said continuity. Better to just watch both shows and keep the first half of FMA03 "in mind" when watching Brotherhood. Of course, it's not required but it's not a bad idea. Though I've heard from some that saw Brotherhood first that they preferred how it handled that material. So maybe it depends on what you saw first. Don't know if it works that way for HxH. Well HxH already had its chance from me. When we no-personality glasses man and his similarly nothing character student explaining nen at length in the most boring ways possible and Gon and Killua chopping people in the back to farm gil and level grind, that's when I had enough. That was 50-something episodes? Not sure if someone didn't like 2011 that they would like 99 anyway. It wasn't a fight. They were playing games against a ridiculously cheating gambler and there were all kinds of interesting and creative ways of playing the games and cheating at them, trying to counter and outsmart Darby, etc. This is the exact kind of stuff you see in HxH on multiple occasions, but it doesn't work there at all. Fine.
  14. Isn't this almost over? With where we are in the story I would think so.
  15. Not sure what I've missed. What you or I want, or even what logic would dictate, it seems, does not matter. Demarco is determined to bungle this FLCL premiere and run the block into the ground just to squeeze that much more from the fruit! The smart choice would have been to air them back to back, but that would make too much sense and they wouldn't "get their bang for their buck," in their eyes. NEWSFLASH: The viewers don't care how much you paid for your show. If they don't like it, they won't watch it. And if it's reruns, which they have been historically shown to not tolerate, they won't watch that either. And it isn't moving something around, but replacing a premiere with a rerun in a prime slot isn't exactly "stable" either. Edit - accidentally hit the submit button early so the post is stuck in two pieces.
  16. I've seen that trailer before. And neither one of those sources gives the episode count for the seasons. We can easily deduce from the trailers, subbed episode aired, and other information released that they will be largely independent of each other and the original. During those behind the scenes featurettes that Toonami aired the people working on the show even said they are making it so old fans can enjoy but also those who have never seen the original series. Obviously they will be connected somehow. Haruko is a recurring character, and we're going see robots and other things pulled from people's heads, familiar phenomena, returning factions, and cameos of past characters possibly, but I don't know if I would go so far as to say there will be an overarching story. Maybe they wanted to tell 2 new stories in that world. Honestly, they feel more like standalone spin-offs with connections than straight up sequels. Just because something takes place later doesn't make it a sequel. The various Star Trek shows are all considered spin-offs of the original 60s series. When you almost completely change the cast and setting, it's a spin-off. We know they will because they never learn a god damn thing. Like you said, based on past experience. You forget how much the viewers abhor reruns. This is the reason ASA failed and anime would've been dropped from AS if Toonami failed. This is why the block got chopped in half. This is why Jack was pulled. They won't care that something new is coming. Most people don't want to watch something they just fucking watched, especially something so short, where memories will be very fresh of even the first episode. Hell, since it was announced ahead of time, they could just ignore the replay of season 2 and start watching again when season 3 premieres. Or, some might plan to do this, but forget to come back for season 3, and it not only fucks over the ratings for the replay and shows after it, but season 3 as well. YEAH THEY REALLY THOUGHT THIS ONE THROUGH! I'll refer you to what I said above. And again, no reruns are ideal but shorter isn't really better because of how fresh they will be in your memory. I guess people with 50 First Dates condition won't mind. I thought you were talking about placement on the block in terms of what ratings the replay itself would get. But oh ok, since it's not coming on first it, it would only be fucking over everything after that, which is no big deal!
  17. We'll that's lame and explains a lot. Hopefully the show still turns out to be good despite that.
  18. Insults are the last resort of a tired mind that knows it has lost.
  19. You act like those are the only shows I like. I'm sure there's others that I like that would suit you and your monocle. I've seen you say that before, but now you're pretty much saying people need to watch '99 then jump to 2011 for the continuation. Basically like asking somebody to do homework to watch a fucking show. "If you watch HxH through a looking glass during the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge and unfocus your eyes like you're looking at a magic 3D picture, THEN it's good!" No one was saying anything of the sort when God's Gift to Shonen was picked up by Toonami back then. The 2011 series was stated as being the definitive one to watch. And that's like telling people to watch the first half of FMA03 and then jump to episode 14 of Brotherhood. It's not practical or viable. By the way, with the Darby the Gambler JoJo episodes just having aired, I can easily see that stuff like that is what HxH was trying to ape and failed miserably. You talk about "sperging out" and with this paragraph you've just completely gone off the deep end. I don't care or pay attention to whether you're "ignoring" me, either. And if you didn't care what shows other people liked or disliked you wouldn't act the way you do.
  20. He was basically just saying that he had all his bases covered and was in control of everything. That's how far his cheating went. But it didn't do him any good in the end lol.
  21. At least he finally listened to us when we said to stop watching the show if he didn't like it.
  22. When was that stated? We were told when they would air, not that they wouldn't be back to back. Without knowing how long the seasons are, it could be presumed they're airing back to back, since that would make sense. Why I thought Toonami would do something that makes sense, I have no idea. The cracks in the Toonami facade revealing more and more ASA-level incompetence are starting to show more every day. Half a show? The two seasons are unrelated. They are more or less their own thing, as Elfie stated. Rerunning FLCL 2 before 3 makes no sense no matter how you to excuse or justify it. Enough hype? You know what kills hype? Reruns. I'm sure people will be raring to go and watching more after they see the same fucking thing twice in a row. Keep in mind it's only six episodes so memories of even the first episode will be very fresh. There was a lot of hype for Samurai Jack yet people did not want to watch that right after they just got done watching it. Probably no anime is more hyped than Attack on Titan and people didn't want to watch immediate reruns of that either. I don't see where placement in the block has to do with anything. So really, your whole case is falling apart here. "Only six weeks." A lot of damage can be done in that time. Shows have been moved or pulled faster than that. No it doesn't, but that making less sense than this doesn't mean the intended scheduling plan does make sense. Better ratings? I doubt that. People don't want to watch reruns, as history has shown us. Also, casuals do not give a shit about Fooly Cooly in the first place.
  23. 1. Or maybe they planned things poorly, thinking they could milk and stretch this out for all it's worth. 2. I had assumed the seasons would be airing back to back, since that would only be logical. I didn't know how long the seasons were. They're rerunning season 1 as a refresher for old fans and so new viewers can see it, to get everyone ready for the new seasons. After that the next two seasons should follow. Why do this, also seemingly to buy time, if they are just going to rerun FLCL 2 immediately afterwards instead of going right to 3? It's retarded! This is what I get for having yet more misplaced faith in Demarco and co. I guess. 3. Because viewers abhor reruns, as history has shown repeatedly. The block got cut in half because of foolishness like this. 4. Unless they have another 6 episode show to pull out of their ass, it's rerunning. It also wouldn't make sense to interrupt the FLCL train for something else completely random.
  24. Oh so now we have to watch the '99 series and discard the same material of the 2011 series to get to the vaunted "good part." Black Clover > Hunter x Hunter Get moar triggered.
  25. Oh ok. So is this the show that got legally delayed or was that something else? Well that's pathetic. I thought they were going to run straight through. Why are they releasing them like that? Viewing experience and ratings will suffer. I don't want to re-watch something I just watched. And like I said, it's a waste of a slot. They've clearly learned nothing from what happened with Attack on Titan and Samurai Jack.
