Yep, he's named Shin, and with this week's timeskip he's a darling. Holy fuck, the thing I wanted since the very first episode of season one happened this week: Konatsu did rakugo! It was to kindergartners but I'll take it! As I feared she was planning to just play music, but my man Yotaro...err Sukeroku wasn't having that. And she was wonderful and that tearful embrace after was wonderful and gah! It was so beautiful! And he was quick to call her on her BS reasoning for not doing anymore after too, but more on that later...I hope! This was the best episode of the entire series so far! And we have 8 left! Yota and Konatsu and Shin seem to be doing wonderfully so...from where will the remaining conflict bud? Well I suspect Yakumo, who still seems determined to see rakugo die, and looked a bit out of it in that preview...or maybe it was just part of his performance. We'll see but, god...just...so good!

Same animation studio made both. That aside I'm not sure I could explain it it's just a vibe I got and have read similar comments on MAL. Umaru actually ranks #1 on my Top 10 anime of 2015 list while Gabriel isn't even Top 3 of this season's shows.(Rakugo, Konosuba and Kobayashi are all definitely superior.) Not that Gabriel is bad or anything 3 episodes in, just definitely wish the studio made more Umaru instead.
