I guess it depends on the kitty. This kitty i actually watched be born and cared for him everyday of his life so he saw me as a second mom. People would report his bad behaivor to me but he was only bad in ways so that i would never see it and never know. Remember i said he was a big cat? He was also an alpha. My dad got a cat and i moved in my dad kept saying my cat was beating up his cat. Naraku...i NEVER saw one bit of aggression from bandit towards buttons...not ever! Bandit would wait until i wasnt around then i guess bit and fight him. I only know this because he even bruised him. Eventually my dad had to give buttons away. But no matter how much bandit must have hated buttons bandit would do no wrong around me. So i guess normal kitty behaivor might have been surpressed to keep himself out of trouble.

Yah i guess if your cat hates you he'll hiss at you. I lived with a huge male tom..very big and strong..he could have really hurt me if he wanted but he had a lot of patience with me and when i got on his nerves he would woosaw and do the slow blink and wag his tail lol. He was a very passive aggressive kitty..would never lash out or show real aggression. When hed go overboard hed just knock everything off the dresser.
