You know who's complaining about this the most? People who wanted a more mature Thundercats series, but never watched the one we got which was EXACTLY THAT.

It's going to be based off the video games which kinda has its own contained universe. Nothing about it is canon with the official series other than the characters. I also reckon that it's being made to appease the GT fanboys who whined about the lack of GT related content in Super.
