I lived in nyc in the penthouse for a year and a half. We never prepared a single meal in the kitchen. Only espresso out of the $10,000 la marzocco machine. Or cocktails. There wasn't any food in there. We also had a wine cellar. Breakfast ordered up everyday. Lunch might be ordered up but half the time we were out anyway. We went out to a drunken dinner every night. Only a few times did we ever order up dinner. Do I miss it? Absolutely. Did he threaten to kill me multiple times? Sure. Did I stand over him as he laid passed out drunk in his underwear while I tried really hard to will myself to stab him to death with the knife I gripped in my sweaty hand shaking with rage? Of course. But we had fun. I do like to dine out.
