That's what the union tells the bosses. The assignment process is based on seniority. I haven't cleaned a rest room there in over twenty years. That's somebody else' job, not mine.

When two or more janitors meet, they are usually at the pre-shift briefing. That's "role call" for people in my department.

She decided to go into business for herself, cleaning houses. She could try contracting to clean bank lobbies or small office spaces. Those are more money. People who rent offices don't like doing their own cleaning. They'll pay more.
