Yeah those are the TOM 2 era pipe bumps. I think they did a Facebook vote on the Toonami official Facebook page asking which logo and era of bumps should air for tonight since yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Toonami's first broadcast. I just think they should have left the normal bumps in. Those TOM 2 bumps look really stupid with the current Toonami imo.

I'll give that episode a 5/10.

For one, the dialogue is very limited. I forgot how few words are spoken during battles, and that happens basically every episode. And then there's the scenes when the emotions the creators are trying to make the viewers feel never fully materialize because the actual scenes are pieced together awkwardly. I can already see how season 5 is struggling to be more mature. It can't fully shed the comedy elements that were a staple of the original series, so no matter how much gory swordplay they throw in there, the lighthearted aspect of the episodes will always make people remember that this isn't exactly Basilisk or Ninja Scroll in terms of content. Season 5 rating thus far: 5/10

And I really don't like how it reads like a divisive force between me and the students. I have to dress business casual every day. So I'm stuck in button downs and tie and I can't wear t-shirts and jeans like I was planning to do (Fortunately, I heeded my boss's advice and read the manual the weekend before my first day). Secondly, all of the teachers in the school are addressed as "Mr. or Ms." which, to me, is total garbage. I want them to think of me as their contemporary and friend and I want to hang out with them after school in the student lounge and get pizza sometimes and talk about girls we think are hot around the school. So now it's "Mr. Zenigundam"? I can't just be Zeni or Z Man? I don't like what's going on here. I'm a teaching assistant by job title, but I can also be a friend indeed.
