My PS3 just got the yellow light of death while I was playing. I've noticed since early on that it got really hot in the back and the fan would make a loud sound, butI just got used to it instead of worrying about it. Guess that's what it was all about. Since I don't want to bury it (RIP 2007-2017), and since I can't find a brand new 40 gig online (plus what about all those PSN games I bought?), I'm going to do the.YouTube hair dryer thing and if the problem persists I'll take it to a repair shop that'll repair it for $80. Is this really something that can be fixed? I thought it was shot for good.

Nah just 5-10 very good games, and everything else everybody liked was just generic crappy FPS cowdung.

If you didn't like FPS games, and I think they're shetty, then you had a really limited collection of excellent non-FPSs. For real, the DS and PSP were better than the consoles. Just realizing this as my I play my PS3 tonight.

for watching these old cartoons on Boomerang in a little square on my HDTV when I used to be able to watch them in SD full screen on an equally big TV back in the day. This is why TV nowadays is bullshit, if it's not formatted for HD broadcast, you're screwed just for wanting to have a new TV and flex your myscle so that the hot girls will make love to you in the living room, cool shit playing on the television set in the background...

Sandy, I don't think you understand that network television programmers obsess over Nielsen ratings. They might never watch any of the shows on air, but they are, by and large, statisticians who are supposed to properly construct schedules that will optimize ratings.
