There's nothing in your original post that suggests a hypothetical intention to hunt down evidence of the type of porn you watch, so this reaction post feels pretty unearned.

Typically, at least for fiction students. But writing the novel on top of the short stories I wrote, I'm taking one extra semester to complete the novel. Yeah, the "graduating" part of the degree isn't difficult. I've had some friends who graduated and felt like they had no more spirit for their longer work, despite the defense and reading going swimmingly.

I think there were some very early iterations of this story that I really hadn't connected with, from like high school. They weren't funny, and their weirdness was unintentional. This particular idea feels like it evolved from those, but came to a more solid realization in my first year in the program last summer.
