  1. It's basically the equivalent of a Mets fan putting up a penant to counter a Yankees penant put up across the street. It's a freaking fan war.
  2. Yes and where is the seat of state governments? In urban areas away from the rural zones where the militia proliferate. It's specifically that distance from the government strongholds that allow militias to grow. The most they can do is an implicit approval by not doing anything to stop their actions. But they will never explicitly endorse militia groups because most of those groups don't acknowledge state or federal power.
  3. The militias are isolated as long as the state government doesn't endorse them. It's not a civil war until we see Texas invading New Mexico or something like that.
  4. We will continue to see lone wolf violence for sure being spurred on by the skewed Overton Window and online radicalization. We will definitely see more right wing militia violence. But escalation will be a slow boil. If it comes to a civil war, we won't see it until 2024 depending on the election outcome.
  5. I would say we will not get to that level of violence this year.
  6. So I don't think it's very productive to talk about this because it's just a very horrifying prospect. As long as states respect each others' boundaries and self governance, there will not be a civil war. Right now it is not feasible. Maybe in the future if the MAGA and QAnon folks took over the GOP but not yet. What is more worrying is that states are being converted to far right policies via a vocal far right grassroots movement, birthed from MAGA election fraud and QAnon internet conspiracies, to install themselves into local and state political apparati which have often been neglected and overlooked in significance. That is where we're seeing fascism really take root and the Supreme Court is paving the way for it. The 2022 and 2024 elections will give us insight on where things will go. If the Democrats can actually generate enthusiasm off of Roe v Wade being gutted. If the Democrats will 2016 themselves again by pushing the radical right in the primaries and unintentionally put them in power. If Trump can grab the GOP nomination again. If the GOP sees themselves purged of their neocon leadership and replaced by Trump loyalists.
  7. I love the manga and have the original anime on my watchlist. My queue continues to grow.
  8. So OpenAI which created DALL-E 2 was co-founded by Elon Musk. I'm not sure what we can surmise from that.
  9. He also posted about it himself to try to get ahead of the narrative. Because having his passports confiscated looks very bad. It's unprecedented.
  10. It now looks like that the FBI took his passports so he doesn't try to flee the country. So, uh, possible federal prosecution may be happening.
  11. Yeah the fact that the FBI actually raided his property shows how this is probably the closest we will ever get to him suffering any kind of consequences for his actions. We will see.
  12. So because JKR was also threatened by the attacker, TERFs are now saying that the criticism against Rowling's politics is the same as the fatwa issued by Iran in response to the Satanic Verses. Always need to make the narrative about themselves...
  13. Yeah it says "Approved additional spend on animation." Well that's good
  14. Yeah Truth Social is exactly that haha
  15. Pwease give back my incwiminating documents UWU
  16. This has not been confirmed yet but if it's truei It is an ill omen.
  17. Btw, I finally got access to Dall-E which is being used completely non-comercially which is good.
  18. Right, it's a novelty right now like most meme images. The problem is if it's commercialized I think. That makes it a whole different beast.
  19. I imagine the autistic community despises him
  20. Yeah but they wasted the money on that bullshit hence why they had to falsify data - to make it look like all that money wasn't being wasted. Musk didn't need to spend a cent on his bullshit.
  21. Right and then it gets a lot stickier when we get into commercialization since it could replace stock photos potentially.
  22. Theranos's blood test machine was theoretical and they sold it to commercial retailers even though the product didn't actually exist. I would say that is stupider because they actually tried to make it even though phlebotomists told Elizabeth Holmes that it was literally impossible.
  23. I don't know, man. People have done some very stupid shit in Silicon Valley and somehow making a private subway for cars is not the stupidest.
  24. He's actively competing with it as a car company owner. So sabotaging HSR would get people to buy more of his cars.
