Yeah, I'm still hoping lol. Everything for the movie is the same as the series, voice cast, Yoko Kanno music, director, art style etc.

It's not a throwaway, it's like another season just in movie length Now we just need a SAC 3. But yeah, such an old-school trailer haha

Definitely worth watching the movie for a SAC fan if you haven't seen it.

Yeah. And yeah I forgot about the regular food thing, further proof that like we'd always known he's at least mostly "normal". The only thing we know for sure is that by Solid State Society he finally has a cyberbrain since he gets hacked while trying to protect his daughter. Yeah, that's a pretty radical change. The movie had a good reason for the change too, since I remember Motoko commented on why she picked Togusa as a natural, so it was cool that SAC and Arise both followed Oshii's lead. So it's held up in all of the anime installments.

Yeah, that seemed to be a neat indication of how well she knows him (and her team).

Yeah, and he's always able to do the cyber conference calls with the others. Maybe he has just the basic cyberbrain enhancement and it's just that the rest of his body is natural unlike everyone else, so they call him that? But then he'd still be at least somewhat cyborg so that'd be a bit weird. Whatever it is, Aramaki seems to be the same or somewhat similar. I don't think we'll ever know since the only time I think we got any details was a vague mention that he got further cyberization before Solid State Society, where his cyberbrain got hacked.

It occurs when users who are too compatible with cyberbrain technology eventually shut themselves off from the outside world to avoid harming others or themselves by forcibly accessing their cyberbrains.
