Yeah, calling Seven Deadly Sins a 'good' Fairy Tail works well enough for me. (GASP, I agree with something Jman said? NaaaaaaaaNiiiiiiiiiii!?!?) In all seriousness though, they both share the same fantasy aspect and powers derived from 'magic'. Although they're different enough, as well. Not that FT is terrible, but it's pretty mediocre to me, especially later on. Seven Deadly Sins is a very solid show (although I heard the anime adaptation skips out on many things from the manga, which won't really matter i guess if you only watch the anime, but I still don't agree with that practice).

Haki is only used by the big stars of the OP world that have made it to the New World. It makes sense why we wouldn't see any of it during the early OP episodes except for short glimpses.

And the character designs have gone full One Piece.

The fact of the matter is EVERY show is down. Toonami isn't looking too good right now, and that isn't only OP's fault.

Can't really succeed when the block started like crap. You know how Toonami works. Ratings go lower deeper into the night. So when you're already at 700k at 1.00am...

Fujiko is much worse since it contains actually nudity and sexual scenes. Keijo has ass and boob shots galore, but they're all in bikinis. I think that's a key diffrence. Not that I want it to air, since it's kinda too over-the-top for me, but content wise, Toonami could air it.

If Toonami got to air Kill la Kill, they cold air Keijo!!!!. Content wise, it's about the same..maybe tamer since (so far) there really isn't any nudity or sex-related scenes. Just a bunch of bikini ass and boob-shots. The real deal closer would probably be that it's essentially a sports anime, and Demarco doesn't like to air those anymore.

If Hollywood makes a live-action adaptation of an anime (like with GITS and that godawful DBZ live-action movie) then it would most likely be widely-released... because Hollywood made it. Godzilla 2014 (wide release) and Shin Godzilla (limited release) is proof to that. Basically, it's not even just anime.... In America.... if it's foreign made movie, it'll most likely just get a limited theatrical release or a straight to DVD/Blu-Ray release. Dem's da brakes. 'Murrica

Miyazaki films are probably the only anime films that are taken seriously... and they STILL only receive a limited release. DBZ being as popular as it is, and it STILL only gets a limited release. Pokemon too. No longer is it given a wide release like the first 3 movies. The sad truth is, casual people in America don't really care for anime and if these films were given a wide-release they'd most likely fail. Sad truth. Maybe one day we'll have GOOD anime live-action movies that are summer-blockbusters ala the Marvel and DC movies. But until then.... Let's just be glad One Piece is getting any kind of US theatrical release. I honestly never thought I would see that happen. And given that its going on for a whole week (instead of like 2 days like other smaller limited releases) that tells me that the amount of theaters showing it should be semi-decent for this type of thing. I'm hype, anyway. I've heard good things about Film Gold and that trailer makes it look fun.

As been stated, the film will run for a limited time in U.S theaters January 10th thru 17th.

Nami and Robin always changed their clothes every arc though, so that's no difference. The only difference is their hair length. Chopper's design has been getting cutified even before the timeskip. He already looked like a mascot before the timeskip arrived. Usopp looks awesome. He's the same just a lil more muscle. Remember his goal. Franky looks drastically different and the only one who might be off-putting. But this is OP. You should be used to outlandish designs by now.

Meh. Looks like JoJo just isn't holding DBZ's audience very well. But then again, what can? Only series that have struck a cord in America like AoT and OPM can, but they're too short. If only one of the long-runners can follow DBZ well, but it looks like no one gives a shit. In essence.... America only cares about DBZ when it comes to anime. Again. Le' sigh.....
