  1. That JoJo marathon won't actually be 12-3:30. It will actually be 12:15-3:15!
  2. Wait, what!? Is this from the first episode? Is the Other World tournament really complete filler!? As for picture quality, well, no worse than original DBZ Kai if you ask me! In a weird way, I'm actually kinda gonna miss the Kikuchi track. You might even say it grew on me!
  3. That's cool, but that would be pretty lame for a 20th Anniversary alone. Samurai Jack Season 5 could also premiere then. A clue to this mystery may lie in what Toonami actually did for their 10th anniversary back on 3/17/07, but then again I believe that actually WAS a Saturday night!
  4. I think 3.33 would be an interesting thing to try at a completely unusual time, maybe like 1 AM on a special FRIDAY edition of Toonami on 3/17/17, led-into by the first 2 episodes of Samurai Jack Season 5? Then again, if Toonami is going to get a special 20th Anniversary block, I doubt it would have new Eva--or should I? After all, the original Eva is about as old as Toonami! I think if Toonami is ever going to break out of Saturday nights on TV, one of the best opportunities for that is coming up for Toonami's 20th--but they'll probably just commemorate it on March 18th, I guess! And of course Pre-Flight will get into it the night before!
  5. New Year's Eve may be 2 weeks away, but this week it's still out with the old, and in with the new! Episode 9: "Final Hamon" at 12:30 AM Episode 10: "New York's Jojo" at 1 AM Get ready for an ending, and a new beginning, back-to-back!! Episodes 9 and 10, beginning at 12:30 Tomorrow (12/17/16). Only Toonami!!
  6. Miss the Toonami before Thanksgiving? This weekend, the Toonami Marathon Stream has your back! Here's what you'll see, first aired on TV on 11/19/16: 1. Dragonball Z Kai #94 - Perfection's End! A Fury Beyond Super Saiyan! - TV-PGLV 2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure #5 - The Dark Knights - TV-MAV (broadcast), TV-14V (personal) 3. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans #22 - Not Yet Home - TV-PGL 4. Hunter x Hunter #28 - Nen and "Nen" - TV-14V 5. Naruto Shippuden #135 - The Longest Moment - TV-14V 6. One Piece #369 - Oars + Moria! The Most Heinous Combination of Brains and Brawn - TV-PGL 7. One Punch Man #4 - The Modern Ninja - TV-14LV All it would need is IBO #9 instead of #22 to be a puke-a-thon...
  7. Scavengers also got a promo! It looks really cool!
  8. Wouldn't it be funny if Justice League gets its show review while JLA is on Cartoon Network?
  9. 6 PM tonight (12/16/16)/5 PM central! Decent DC action animation finally returns to Cartoon Network!
  10. They should also acquire the internet rights again for 1.11 and 2.22, and play 1.11 on the Stream Monday-Wednesday, while 2.22 takes Wednesday-Friday, leading up to the Toonami premiere of 3.33!
  11. #88, the last episode of the marathon, on the stream right now! The meat of the Cell Games finally gets going, with Cell vs. Goku!
  12. #87 now streaming. Get ready for the beginning of the Cell Games! ...and of course, THIS handsome devil of a guy! Fun fact, at one point in this episode, the reporter says "that is good!". Thirty minutes later, Episode 10 of One-Punch Man featuring "That is good!" Melzagard premiered on Toonami! [that is good]
  13. #86: Dende offers to be the new guardian, and the Dragon Balls return!!
  14. #85 is on the stream right now, and in it we have Krillin's hilarious overestimation of Goku's reaction time: And the military might of the entire world is no match for Cell!
  15. It's your last chance for Episodes 84-88 right now on the stream, for perhaps the last time ever, to help you prepare for the New Year's Eve marathon!! #84 is on right now, and it may come back around before Pre-Flight, but the others probably won't!
  16. That is true, but it also won't be the first time. The "Scavengers" short leads off the block on Christmas Eve! With the exception of the first episode of Intruders 2 and 3, that is indeed a first!
  17. This is NOT new, though! I think the first major marathon that was lit up by a cool video was the Michiko & Hatchin marathon, which was accompanied by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd's "Rattle That Lock". From there, major artists' videos also premiered during a few other marathons, including Death Cab For Cutie during the Samurai Champloo marathon!
  18. Since both versions of InuYasha aired on Toonami, I thought it fitting that there be a thread in here for the discussion of the franchise. Anything InuYasha (manga, anime, video games, etc.) is on-topic in here! And to start it off, the Toonami Tumblr posted this little gem yesterday!
  19. In this thread, I'm posting the results of the 2015 TOMmys as I listen to the entire 4-hour show at some point over the next few days. Why am I doing this? I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess! And of course when the 2016 TOMmys are available, I'll do the same. Here's what I've listened to so far: Best Overall Dub: One Piece. Runner-Ups: DBZ Kai; KILL la KILL Worst Scene: "Sinon meets Mother and Kid She Saved" (SAO II). Runner-Ups: "Dumpster Dog" (Parasyte); "Super-Aids" (SAO II) What do y'all think?
  20. January 6th, huh? Gotta say I wasn't expecting that! Last year it was Christmas; this year it's "Old Christmas!" I'm sure we'll also get the show preview of DB Super on that day, right? Or maybe Super 12/30/16; Gundam Unicorn Re:0096 1/6/17?
  21. Did I mention that thanks to the 12/9/16 edition of Pre-Flight I'll probably be going around singing "Fuck Donald Trump" the rest of the week?? I thought I probably should...
  22. Finally for now, it's Episode 83, aired on Toonami on 8/23/16! This one recovered slightly in the ratings but in fact didn't really have very much action at all, as it was kind of a "Transitional" episode from Perfect Cell to The Cell Games. Dawww...16 might be a stone cold machine but he still loves animals! Of course, that means we begin the Cell Games on the Stream after the Pre-Flight replay at 6:30 PM tonight, so y'all come on back, y'hear?
  23. Episode 82 is streaming now, aired on Toonami 8/13/16. This one actually did the 2nd lowest in total viewers (1194K) of any episode of DBZ Kai so far in 2016 (with only one episode remaining). It's really quite weird that it did, with that epic insert music during part of the fight!
  24. Episode 81 is streaming now, aired on Toonami 8/6/16. Train hard! Vegeta's down for da count; now Trunks steps up to the plate!!
  25. Episode 80 on now, aired on Toonami on 7/30/16, and currently holds the record for highest total viewers rating for an 11:30 PM timeslot (1666K) as well as for DBZ Kai in 2016. Vegeta gets his wish to see Cell's perfect form, but has his mouth just written a check his butt can't cash??
