    Apparently, today (February 3rd, 2024) is actually the day. Everyone watch the 4th through 6th episodes of GITS today! Shame we couldn't count on Toonami to expand and play these episodes, but at least [as] is streaming them all without a cable log-in! Edit: it has just come to my attention that the events of the Laughing Man arc actually take place in 2030, but the arc references the incident from 6 years prior, which is indeed today, 2/3/2024. Major Motoko talks about it in detail at the beginning of the back half of Episode 5.

    I just said 4 AM. Do we REALLY need a same-night Boondocks rerun? Shoulda stuck GITS in there and Black Dynamite instead of Black Jesus at 4:30, or maybe swapped the two? Black History Month comes once a year, but February 2024 literally only happens once!

    Eh, whatever. I don't even have Netflix. I do have Hulu, and I have watched this season there. But I guess it's the old-schooler in me who just wants to watch it on Toonami too. And it's refreshing that there are still some 150K of us who also feel that way.

    I wonder if Lycoris will actually beat Demon Slayer at some point? I certainly didn't call it beating Dr. Stone in its SECOND week! Maybe Dr. Stone should have been at 1 AM, but I guess that's a moot point as it's only got one episode left, then Demon Slayer replaces it as Ninja Kamui enters the chat!

    Welp, we got some numbers: https://www.spoilertv.com/2023/03/top-200-cable-reruns-week-ending-26th_01243089880.html?m=1 Rick & Morty got 258K overall and a 0.125 leading into last week's Toonami, and then... https://www.spoilertv.com/2024/01/tv-ratings-for-saturday-27th-january.html?m=1 Unfortunately, not many hung on for Toonami but those that did mostly stuck around for all the shows, because at least 135K watched the entire block through Shippuden.

    What is it about the OP Soap Opera that currently makes it the easiest point in Toonami to fall asleep? I hope in a few weeks that isn't true, though depending upon what I do during the day before, Dr. Stone can be just as unintentionally hypnotic!
