The coming arc might be filler but at least it's been interwoven into the canon storyline semi-seamlessly!

Episode 8 (Part 1?!) That doesn't make much sense...

FINALLY got to see this episode!! The parallels between it and the original FLCL episodes 5 & 6 were quite obvious. In fact, it seemed a lot like 5 of the original with no bullets and a lot more water scenes!
