  1. STILL no promo for MHA! Boy, I kinda jumped the gun on that one!
  2. MHA will only be 5 weeks behind. It premiered on October 12th, but for some reason it didn't air one week. Fire Force, so what? It's down to only the last few episodes of its cour anyway. I think it's taking a break in early 2020 to come back in April or July. If that's the case, when it goes on Toonami hiatus for 3 weeks, there will only be 5 episodes left.
  3. Indeed, UNLESS the streaming services are at Toonami's mercy like was the case with Attack on Titan's dub and is the case with several other dubs Toonami airs as well. But the success of Food Wars!' marathon proves that viewers are OK with watching stuff that's been available by streaming for years! I do believe, since Season 2 is only 13 episodes long, and is likely coming in January, we'll see a dub premiere of Season 3 in April or May! January 18th is going to be a pretty epic night for Toonami. On that night, Food Wars should be moving on to Season 2, and One-Punch Man's replacement will air. Maybe it's Mob Psycho 100 Season 2? That would make sense!
  4. Hell, I'm surprised it's skewing that way NOW! Toonami WAS drawing insanely good numbers in F12-34 in 2015, and it didn't get cancelled--it eventually expanded! Also, this FINALLY happened!! PRE-TOONAMI: Steven Universe The Movie (repeat) (TOON, 7:00 PM, 120 min.) • 0.439 million viewers (#72) • 0.24 HH (#81) • 0.12 A18-49 (#64) • 0.11 A18-34 (#38) • 0.12 A25-54 (#85) Bob’s Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.519 million viewers (#57) • 0.28 HH (#65) • 0.23 A18-49 (#24) • 0.17 A18-34 (#18) • 0.23 A25-54 (#33) Bob’s Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.623 million viewers (#51) • 0.36 HH (#51) • 0.30 A18-49 (#14) • 0.23 A18-34 (#13) • 0.30 A25-54 (#23) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.742 million viewers (#40) • 0.46 HH (#39) • 0.34 A18-49 (#10) • 0.31 A18-34 (#5) • 0.35 A25-54 (#19) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.874 million viewers (#31) • 0.52 HH (#32) • 0.36 A18-49 (#7) • 0.36 A18-34 (#4) • 0.36 A25-54 (#16) Read more: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-ohio-state-michigan-on-fox-outdraws-alabama-auburn-iron-bowl-on-cbs/ 11/30/2019 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention TOONAMI MHAS4 565,000 64.65% OPM2 488,000 86.37% FW! #12 384,000 78.69% FW! #13 397,000 103.39% FW! #14 411,000 103.53% FW! #15 373,000 90.75% FW! #16 335,000 89.81% FW! #17 273,000 81.49% FW! #18 237,000 86.81% FW! #19 233,000 98.31% FW! #20 205,000 87.98% AVERAGE 354,636 28/48 🙂 11/30/2019 - Adults 18-49 Show Viewers Retention TOONAMI MHAS4 377,000 81.60% OPM2 343,000 90.98% FW! #12 281,000 81.92% FW! #13 283,000 100.71% FW! #14 299,000 105.65% FW! #15 278,000 92.98% FW! #16 251,000 90.29% FW! #17 195,000 77.69% FW! #18 162,000 83.08% FW! #19 162,000 100.00% FW! #20 136,000 83.95% AVERAGE 251,545 13/48 😎 Note that interestingly enough the 1 AM episode of Food Wars!, at the show's usual time, managed to outrate all the others, including those in the 12 AM hour, in both total viewers and adults 18-49! But there was a LOT going on in that episode, the conclusion of the breakfast challenge, plus the graduation night which ended the training camp arc! So that's a slightly-below average block average in total viewers, but the 18-49 average is definitely above average, in the top third for this year, ALMOST the top 25%, and it may very well be top 25% by the end of the year! Not bad at all for a marathon week! I think Sentai will conclude that Food Wars! is a success on Toonami, and that should open the door for future seasons of Food Wars! and perhaps also other Sentai shows such as Made in Abyss? With a little bit less excitement, the normal lineup returns tomorrow night and then the Saturday after that, but then the marathons return with One-Punch Man on the 21st, and unlike the Food Wars! marathon, this one won't have premieres opening it. Hopefully 10 straight episodes of Punchy will carry what will probably be Christmas episodes of Family Guy well...
  5. Well, THIS is interesting...Demarco tweeted this this morning: "For those in the back: Adult Swim viewership skews 55% Ma(l)e (sic), 45% female Toonami skews 55% female, 45% male. These are facts." Yet we see a definite skew toward male in terms of decimal points, for example with MHA almost a 2/3 margin, so how can this be? What this means is that a 0.01 in females seems to account for a much greater number of women than a 0.01 in males counts for men. That's the only way this remark makes any sense, since we have seen that those decimal point numbers for females rarely outpace those for males. It also obviously takes the Family Guy and FOX reruns into account whose breakdown by gender we don't see. It's natural that those would skew strongly male moreso than premieres like Momma Named Me Sheriff, which seem to follow a similar pattern as Toonami.
  6. I think more bars and restaurants will be showing the two conference championship football games on Network TV than UFC on ESPN. FOX has the Big 10 game, while ABC has the ACC game, going right up to Toonami time or later!
  7. Sorry, buddy, but you're getting an upside-down heart for that one! Since the Food Wars! marathon was all reruns, it doesn't count as a cable "original". And for some reason Black Clover and Shippuden premieres don't either. You can't even make the argument that it's because they're streaming first, since ALL the other shows are streaming first in some form, and all but OPM, Demon Slayer, JoJo, and Lupin have had their DUBS streaming before airing on Toonami. It's just [as] being stupid and listing those two shows as reruns. We're gonna have to find out from Programming Insider what the FW! marathon did, and that might take until as late as Friday!
  8. Inb4 Vic shows up in JoJo Part 5...
  9. Except that they would have had to drag out a new show on December 14th. I have no doubt we're gonna see more marathons on December 21st and 28th, but the question is: will MHA and OPM still air then? And my dream would be for Toonami to pull out the Gundam Thunderbolt movies one December, because, well, "December Sky" is the name of the first one! Maybe they'll throw us a curve ball and air that, but it's a lot more likely (sadly) that Toonami is just done with Gundam for now. Gundam: The Origin isn't even streaming on the website and app anymore, and it just finished airing less than 2 months ago! The only mecha action on the site/app anymore is gen:LOCK!
  10. It might be a while until we find out how the Food Wars marathon did, but the two premieres before it DEFINITELY kicked ass! http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-11-30-2019.html YES, they're each down about 100K on average from last week in total viewers, BUT both shows are UP slightly in Adults 18-49, and perhaps more importantly, MHA rose 0.08 in Adults 18-34 (a gain of about 54K in Adult Swim's classic demo), while OPM also gained 0.05 (about 34K) in Adult Swim's classic demo, putting both shows at or above a 0.3 and an estimated 200K! That's the first time that's happened since Dragon Ball Super premieres ended on October 5th! Both shows DID drop considerably in 25-54 though.
  11. After the marathon tonight, you KNEW this was coming! It's looking like Toonami and Sentai have big plans for this series, including probably premiering the dub of Season 3! ORDER UP!!!
  12. Looking ahead, I'm expecting the following for the future of this show on Toonami: January 18, 2020: Season 2 begins (13 episodes) April 18, 2020: Season 3 begins (24 episodes, probably dub premiere) October or November 2020: Season 4 begins (??, but probably also dub premiere)
  13. Toonami apparently lost the rights to stream the first season, but maybe this will somehow lead to them getting to replay it, either as a 13-episode marathon, or somewhere on the back end!
  14. He turned out to be a lot less useless than I thought he would be!
  15. *Insert joke about beating her meat here...* LATER! And RIP TOM...?
  16. DAMN IT, IT ENDS LIKE THAT!? Oh well, we've only got a little less than 7 days to find out how the story continues from here! I'm guessing we'll get Season 2 in January to boot, since this season is 24 episodes!
  17. Interesting that Meat Meat wasn't talked about in a sexual way like that! Except by THAT guy!
  18. "You shut up!" No, "YOU shut up!" "You're Dumb!" "I hate your face!" ...the VAs probably had a little TOO much fun with that one! CRAZY CACKLING CAULDRON OF COOKING!
  19. Last course of the night!!! EPISODE 20: "Dragon Lies Prone, Then Ascends To The Sky"
  20. Soma shouldn't be trying to "curry" favor with Akira, shall we say?
  21. This is actually a little infusion of science into this show! Paging Dr. Stone!
  22. Hard to believe we're down to just 2 more episodes! EPISODE 19: "The Chosen One"
