Same. The joy of watching Gurren Lagann for the first time, and discovering Now and Then, Here and There afterward, only to experience the pain of having the whole thing interrupted by Strait Jacket (which admittedly was pretty good) and later some Central Park Media crap that was nigh-unwatchable (maybe it was X the movie?) when Gurren Lagann needed to take a dub hiatus was quite palpable. Also watched Gundam 00 as part of that block and discovered Descendants of Darkness. Man, Manga Entertainment was quite the mixed bag!

This is gonna be the worst decline in quality from a first cour to a second since The Big O, apparently!

So no confirmation yet as to whether or not there will be a Part 2 of The Final Season...

Apparently, this thing will likely be that in reverse: starting normally paced, but then speeding into a blur. But that's just going by what I've heard. It could still tell a coherent story for casual viewers that only pisses off the manga fans because there's SOOOOOOO much more, apparently.
