  7. Now that you've said it, they just might do it if a new series follows Broly and this new movie. Isn't Dragon Ball Heroes a thing? Why hasn't Toonami figured out how to air THAT yet!?
  8. Hey now, I thought the Beerus arc taking place on a cruise ship was kind of an interesting touch, though Episode 5 was so legendarily bad they had to re-animate it, and it still wasn't all that great. Resurrection of F was resurrection of F regardless which version you watched. I saw both adaptations, and I can't really tell how the DBS version was all that different from the movie, though obviously I've seen the series version quite a few more times than the movie, which I've only seen once. Hopefully Toonami gets to run the movies someday. Ironically, they've actually lost the rights to the first 26 episodes of Super, for the time being, at least.
  9. The funny thing about 2009 is that at the time, [as] was FAR from the only game in town. Syfy also had a piece of that pie, and were airing such hits as Gurren Lagann, Gundam 00, and Monster every Monday night, alongside some older classic series and movies/OVAs on Ani-Monday! Sure, [as] still had Bleach kicking off a whole night of anime on Saturday nights at 12:30 AM, and a few other ongoing premieres like Code Geass and Moribito were in the mix too, but in 2009, at times Ani-Monday was looking like the stronger brand. And ironically, when Toonami returned in 2012, Greg Ayres would star in Deadman Wonderland!!
  10. Yeah, that was a huge clue. It would have been interesting if it was something the characters knew, that Norman was actually physically THERE at the escape, and his return wasn't THAT much of a surprise to the characters while shocking the hell out of us, but that doesn't seem to be the case. That's my theory too. Just as demons become more human by eating human flesh, perhaps humans become more "demonic" from eating demon flesh? And she's been eating plenty, just judging from her demeanor!
  11. At this point, Toonami seems pretty cancel-proof. I guess it may be a while until we find out how it did last week, and that's fine. I guess we'll just enjoy the shows for a while, if that's the case. Weird; this feels kinda like the end of an era!
  12. Episode 150 - Black Clover - Anime News Network Grade: 3 stars. Yes, believe it or not, we DID get some plot advancement!!
  13. Why does Armin keep visiting Annie? Could be that she was acting on Marcel's memories? We've learned that Titans work something like Avatars or One For All in MHA. The Titan Shifters are clearly aware of the memories of their sacrifices, even if they never actually "knew" them very well. - Episode #62: "Door Of Hope" Discussion begins now. -
  14. True. I guess it was so they didn't have to come back empty handed! One of the more consequential characters in Season 2, but her fate was tragic!
  15. My guess is she really didn't have much time left. This is a hell of an explanation. A dead serious look at such a silly thing from the first season!
  16. She was pretty close to her end anyway, though by rights she would have had about 3 or 4 years left. She ate Marcel and transformed into the Jaw Titan a few months before Bertholdt's Colossal Titan attacked Shiganshina, and that was about 5 years before she was captured. So assuming she wasn't sacrificed immediately, she might not have had much time left. Even if she was, there was a bit of a timeskip between Seasons 1 and 2. So she had about half or less of her life as a Titan shifter left. Not sure how she knew that she only had 13 years to live if she ever regained her humanity, but somehow, it seems she knew.
  17. Theoretically, a total of 45 tails worth of chakra is needed for the 10-tails. So it's at like 30 out of 45 if it contains one tail's worth of chakra from both the 8-tails and the 9-tails and all from 1-tails through 7-tails!!
  18. So this was neat set-up for a captain-on-captain battle in the next episode, I guess!
  19. This is like a Shakespearian comedy!
  20. Just what Marie goes through constantly, I guess? MEANWHILE...
