It's not a dub premiere. It IS, however, a "cable original!"

The curious case of Toonami's dub premieres
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Actually, I was just a little off. TPN did indeed follow SAO, but there was a nearly 2-month gap between them! AOT held down the dub premiere fort in the meantime, and in fact in parts of January, February, April, and May, the block actually hosted TWO dub premieres during AOTFS1's run! -
The curious case of Toonami's dub premieres
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Bumping this because with Yasha-Hime coming, Toonami now finds itself in an interesting situation: the block is officially without dub premieres. It's not the first time this has happened, as it also occurred last year, in June and July, as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind was forced into a 2-month hiatus. When it came back in August, the block was consistently with one dub premiere for almost 11 months: first the conclusion of JoJo; then SAOAWOU2; and finally TPN season 2. However, that isn't the case with Yasha-hime, so despite the block arguably being much fresher than the pandemic-induced summer doldrums of last year, it is indeed once again without a dub premiere. But I don't believe it will last that long this time, as we've got not just dub premieres coming, but WORLD premieres, in Fena and Blade Runner! So, despite no longer having dub premieres for now, the 2nd half of the year looks quite bright for Toonami! -
Juneteenth falls on a Sunday next year, and a Monday the year after that (2023). With 2024 being a leap year, the next time it's on a Saturday would be 2027, so if Toonami's still around, it won't affect it again until then. They definitely should have aired Cleveland-heavy episodes of Family Guy instead of Black Dynamite though. As for the future of Toonami without Family Guy as its lead-in, my guess is that they'll probably just put American Dad there. That worked for Bleach in 2010. And after Dragon Ball Super ends it's current 3:30 AM run, they might just stick it at 8 PM and double it up.

Rick & Morty did well. Granted, it had Family Guy for its lead-in. Toonami had Black Dynamite reruns as its lead-in, and, though I watched and enjoyed them, Toonami's ratings last Saturday made 2014's look good. First episode Is a total nostalgia trip! -
Been a while since I've done one of these: Japanese airdate years for Toonami shows: My Hero Academia - 2021 Dr. Stone - 2021 YashaHime - 2020 Food Wars - 2018 Black Clover - 2020 Naruto: Shippuden - 2014 Dragon Ball Super - 2018 Leaving: The Promised Neverland - 2021 Pretty fresh lineup. Nothing much more than 3 years old except Shippuden!

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-95/.172566 3.5 stars. Good episode. Apparently, match 3 wraps this week, which if Toonami decides to run a marathon of the first 8 episodes of MHA on July 3rd, will wrap that up neatly... ...or will it? We find out Saturday!

Episode 11 - The Promised Neverland Season 2 - Anime News Network No surprise just like its predecessor, this episode got 0.5 stars from the reviewer, but KEEP IN MIND THAT WAS THE SUBTITLED VERSION. Better voice acting in the dub should at least get it up to 2 stars, maybe... ...ok, 1.5 stars!
