  1. Or maybe they actually stealth-premiere something at 1 AM while only announcing it for the first time at the end of Ass Class. Wouldn't that be NUTS!? As time goes on with no lineup announced, I'm starting to expect something like that!
  2. I truly believe we may see IFC air Sentai anime again. Perhaps most pre-eminent among the potential is Lupin III Parts 1 and 6. That's another Part 6 Toonami will likely miss out on, but at least they've still got MHA Season 6 coming soon, right?? ...RIGHT!?!
  3. It was well-done though. Indeed it was a recap, but one told through the eyes of another character, showing her side of the story, and ending with the difficult decision laid before her that she now must make. It seems it was always designed to air on New Year's Day as an episode you could miss and not lose much of the story. It's a shame it only got 175K.
  4. Yeah maybe. But my DVR will be ALL SCREWED UP!
  5. Well, looks like nothing announced yet, as of noon on Wednesday 1/5/22. But I'll be there won't be anything new besides the 2 premieres we already know about...
  6. Well, this is nuts, but Yashahime's season finale actually beat Black Lotus, and in fact is currently the highest-rated Toonami show in 2022: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-saturday-1-1-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html But of course both shows only got 0.09 in 18-49 and under 200K, missing the top 50.
  7. Wait, just what the hell are you babbling about!? Did Demon Slayer Season 2 REALLY JUST hit Netflix dubbed? Because if so that's the biggest damn waste of the movie being cut into episodes I've ever heard of. It's cut for TV. It should be ON TV. Netflix is not TV. Fuck you, Netflix!
  8. In case you didn't see, The Animatrix got 181K. Unknown what its 18-49 number was at this time though: http://toonamifaithful.com/toonami-ratings-for-december-18th-2021/ BTW, since today is Senku from Dr. Stone's birthday, I'm leaving him as my avatar for at least one more day...
  9. I'd say Matrix Revolutions (which I saw part of on Syfy tonight) and the Pacific Rim saga are as close as Western cinema has gotten to mech action. Maybe the Transformers saga as well, but that's derivative.
  10. I just rewatched the first episode a little while ago, and if that wasn't real danger, I don't know what is. Remember, you can't make Koro-Sensei mad; he's literally capable of ANYTHING!
  11. If we even get wrestling on [as]. I seriously doubt they'll make that move in 2022, but it just makes all kinds of sense to me. WCW and [as] were 2 ships passing in the night back in the day, with the former being bought out in March 2001, and the later debuting in September 2001. But with Turner's new wrestling darling AEW right smack dab in [as]'s target demographic, I suppose we'll see some synergy between the two at some point.
  12. It's a long tough negotiation process. It doesn't look good but maybe they can still pull it off.
  13. Hey, that's actually a good point! In other news, the DirecTV on-screen guide still lists American Dad from 10:30 PM-3 AM next week. They better fix that soon...
  14. How perfect. We end the night with a "BANG." And of course, also a "LATER". But it's that scene that leads me to believe that the plan was always to air Sessions 1-6 tonight; it's just we WOULD have gotten Ass Class beginning this week instead of next week, or something.
  15. Ugh, I'm exhausted... How ironic that a machine that can read thoughts and memories is a "piece of junk!" I kinda doubt it will be in our 2071!
  16. Session #6: Sympathy For The Devil Bad things sometimes come in small packages, even when they know how to play the blues!
  17. Well, today was actually the Solemnity of Mary in the Catholic Church. So it's quite fitting that we are treated to "Ave Maria" ...and some magazine porn!?
  18. Session #5: Ballad Of Fallen Angels This episode is the most classic of the classic. I'm not even curious how Netflix screwed it up--OK, maybe just a little...
  19. You know, if they were making the Cowboy Bebop anime better, they could have identified the various ships the characters use with on-screen text. I am glad Gundam did that for the most part!
