Fundraiser for mom's eye surgery

My mom needs her 13th eye surgery and has to be away from work for a while. We're trying to figure out how to make ends meet. Here's the blurb she gave:

I am having an approximately 29-year-old prosthetic lens replaced on August 20th. It is just barely hanging on by a thread and flopping around in my eye. This is causing visual disturbances such as extremely blurred vision, double vision, and seeing the edge of the lens going back and forth across my eye. I am having an extremely hard time functioning, but can't afford to miss work between now and then, plus recovery time. This will be the 13th eye surgery for me, as I have a degenerative disease called Aniridia. My other eye is a prosthetic now, so I need this one to work.

I was just checking it because when i went, he only had 200 so i was like after we go school shopping, if i can spare it, I'll drop a couple more coins....but nah, he's good 🤣.

And yeah, i know the goal hasn't been reached but at this point, we can talk payment arrangements

The email gave my sister's first name with the same [uncommon] spelling...

Ehhh, i mean...you can't expect verbal admission of wrong doing and apologies from some people. This might just be her way of being able to sleep at night....but i wont tell you how to feel about it

I know she cares about us, but it's very frustrating when she goes out of her way to treat us like she doesn't.
