They should give you little badges that keep track of how much radiation you've been exposed to

I'm not sure how safe the "Safe level" is, but my dad's first job in the oil industry consisted on using radioactive material to essentially x-ray wells and get an idea how large they were and how much material was left

If their badges ever maxed out they were no longer allowed to continue that job

I mean

old people end up eating a lot of the same things as babies, eventually. You've most likely seen a baby blow a diaper out, now picture a full grown adult doing that.

Yep, a little thing that measures radiation levels. Can't be dosed past a certain amount, there's a month quota and a year quota. There are people who have hit the year quota in one sitting, but that rarely happens.
